A Sick Day in Ninjago

Skylor's Sick Day

Hi everybody, I know Skylor isn't really a ninja. Though I know a lot of us would like her to be. Will contain some kailor fluff. I don't own Ninjago or any of the characters I only own the plot. Takes place after season 7.

Skylor woke up one Friday morning and admittedly knew something was wrong. Her nose was all stuffed up, and her head was throbbing. "Oh no no no noooooo! I can't be sick. My restaurant is low on staff and today is one of the busiest days and." 

Her rambling was interrupted by a loud coughing fit that snapped her out of her thoughts. "Well, I guess I am just going to have to call in sick. Wait a sec, who am I going to call I'm the boss?" She finally decided on calling her manager and BFF Lucy. 

Phone call

Lucy: Hello welcome to Chen's Noodle House what can I do for you?

Skylor: Hey Lucy uhh *cough* 

Lucy: Wow you sound terrible! Take the day off or as many days as you need or a week or

Skylor: sniff Lucy!!!

Lucy: Okay okay chill, I'll run the noodle house while you're gone. Rest up, and don't you dare come back until your completely better. Do you understand!

Skylor: *cough* The manager bossing around the boss, well that's a first.

Lucy: Hahaha very funny, now you rest up.

Skylor: bye

Lucy: bye

"Thank goodness for Lucy. I really need to give that girl a promotion." Skylor said as she fell into a deep sleep. At about one o'clock she awoke to her phone ringing. "Uhh sniff, wait who's calling? Oh shoot, it's Kai, I totally forgot we were going to eat noodles together on my lunch break!"

Phone Call

Kai: Are you okay? You never miss a date!

Skylor: Uhh Kai

Kai: Let me finish. I called you three times, and you didn't pick up! I was just about ready to drive over to your apartment and

Skylor: *ah ah achoo sniff*

Kai: Skylor are you okay? I'm sorry I was being clingy but it's because . . . I love you.

Skylor: Aww, I love you too. I am fine just *sniff* a bit under the weather.

Kai: I'm coming over.

Skylor: No Kai

Kai hung up the Call

Typical Kai Skylor thought as she proceeded to make herself comfortable. Which consisted of tossing and turning, adjusting the around 10 blankets piled on her bed, and blowing her nose like every five seconds. Around thirty minutes later, Skylor heard a lock turning and someone walking in. 

"Kai," Skylor said. "Hi, I brought some homemade chicken noodle soup that Zane made for Jay when he was sick" Kai replied."

 You really didn't have to Kai." Skylor said.

"Shh, it's okay just get back in bed and I'll heat the chicken noodle soup," Kai said as he proceeded to the kitchen. Around 5 minutes later Kai returned with two bowls of chicken noodle soup. 

Skylor asked, "Why are there two bowls?". 

"Do you have to be sick to enjoy delicious chicken noodle soup?" Kai replied.

 "I guess not, come," Skylor said as she motioned for Kai to follow her. She led him to the couch which was set up with blankets, tray tables, and Disney+.  "Come," Skylor said as she patted the seat next to her. Kai put the chicken noodle soup along with the lemon honey tea on the tray tables and cuddled next to Skylor, just enjoying the moment.
