"Nya come in," Lloyd said through the radio. "We have a bank robber in progress. Five men in black armed with swords at Ninjago City Bank. Nya do you read?"
"I read you loud and clear Lloyd, send me the coordinates and I'll be on my way," Nya said in a somewhat raspy voice.
"You okay Nya you sound a bit"
"I'm fine, just a bit of allergies, that's all," Nya said interrupting Lloyd.
"Good because we need all hands on deck. Since Pixal, Zane, and Kai are busy dealing with the mechanic, who escaped from Kryptarium again."
"See you there Lloyd," Nya said as she fired up the engine on her bike. Just as she hung up Nya let out a loud sneeze. "I am not sick, just allergies that's all," Nya said as if saying it out loud would make it true. When Nya got to the bank she saw that Lloyd had described the situation perfectly. There were five robbers all dressed in black, with swords.
"Nya I could use your help over here," Jay yelled fighting off two robbers who had managed to back him into a corner. She pulled out her spear and attacked one of the robbers. After a minute of fighting though, she could barely keep her eyes open. The robber noticed and took that opportunity to pin her to the ground. Just as she was about to be struck with the robber's sword, Jay jumped on the robber freeing her. The rest of the battle passed like a blur and soon the all robbers were in handcuffs.
Jay then confronted Nya "Are you okay? Usually, you put up more of a fight than that." "I fine, just tired that's all." Jay looked like he wanted to press, but Nya went to go help Lloyd count and stack the remaining gold bars that had been misplaced during the robbery. Once the bank was all cleaned up, Lloyd got a radio transmission from Pixal.
Pixal: The Mechanic has brought reinforcements and we could use your help.
Lloyd: Send me the coordinates and we will be there as soon as we can.
Pixal: Sending coordinates now. We will see you there, over and out.
Just as Lloyd was about to announce that Pixal needed their help, he caught Jay's eye. Jay pointed over to Nya who looked like she was about to fall asleep standing up.
"Cole and I will head over to help Pixal. Jay and Nya head back to the monastery and make sure everything is okay there." Lloyd said gearing up.
Now Nya wanted to yell that she was fine and everyone stop overreacting, but a little rest would be nice. She would take a little nap, and then she would be all better, and nobody would ever know that she was sick.
Then she got into the passenger seat of Jay's car and just as they left the parking lot Jay said. "Nya somethings up and don't you dare deny it. You know you can tell me anything, right? Nya knew he was serious and kind of hurt that she didn't tell him what was going on. She let her guard down, and the cough she had been holding in resurfaced.
"Woah you okay?" Jay said pulling over. "You're burning up! Why didn't you tell me you were sick?" Nya then started crying, which in turn caused a coughing fit. Jay hugged her and she said. "You guys needed help and I couldn't let you down."
"Hey, it's okay, but fighting when you're sick can make you sicker. I'm sure the team will all agree that you can take a day or two off, you deserve it." Jay said pulling Nya closer. Nya's eyes began to droop, and she soon fell asleep. She woke up around an hour later in her bed with Jay sitting on a chair next to her.
"You have a good nap? Zane said that he and the rest of the team are on their way and that he'll make some chicken noodle soup when he gets home." Jay said.
"Jay," Nya said, "Thank you for taking care of me."
"Any time Nya, you mean the world to me you know that, right?" Jay said looking at Nya.
" Yes, buts it's good to hear," Nya said patting the bed. Jay snuggled close to Nya and the rest of the Ninja came back half an hour later to the couple sleeping soundly. Which Cole made sure to take plenty of pictures of. I guess the chicken noodle soup would just have to wait a bit.
