One week later
Jeremy had asked Candace if she wanted to to swimming to a really cool place he knew about. She had agreed to meet with him as long as he knew it wasn't a date and he agreed just as friends.
She meets him by the pool that he had sent her the address to "hey Jeremy" "hey Candace did you have trouble getting over here?" "No i was able to find it easily now let's jump in!" They both jumped into the water at the same time. After a few hours of swimming around and splashing each other Jeremy decides to see if she want to go for some ice cream.
"Hey let's get out of the pool and dry off I want to take you somewhere cool" "okay" She follows him out of the pool area "so where are you taking me?" "Hmm that's a good question"
She turns to him "are you serious?" He laughs "no I'm taking you to an ice cream place does that sound good?" She laughs "yes"
"You know it's not really a good idea to ask someone you barely know on an ice cream date it's awkward" he chuckled "ah so we are on a date?" "And even though that may be true but isn't that the point to hang out with someone to get to know them better?" "I guess"
He smiles at her as he's getting up "I'll be right back I'm going to go order." "Okay" she looks up at Jeremy as he's bringing back the ice creams "thanks how did you know vanilla was my favorite?" "Um my ex girlfriend liked vanilla so I took a wild guess and assumed you did too" "oh thanks again" she awkwardly starts to eat her ice cream
He starts to eat his ice cream and looking around the place trying to start a conversation. He then starts laughing "What's so funny?" "You got a little vanilla on your face he says smiling at her" "She wipes it off like it hasn't happened to you before" "Actually it hasn't"
She dips her finger in her ice cream then spreads a little on the corner of his mouth "there a first time for everything" she says giggling.

Coltrane and Stacy are relaxing on her couch when he gets up and walks to her kitchen. "Bring me food!" "What's the magic word" he teases her "Coltrane if you don't get me some food right now I'll be angry and you wouldn't like that" she looks towards his direction and smiles at him. He laughs walking over to her pulling her up to his lab "anything for you babe" She snuggles up to him "thanks babe"
He gets back up and opens her fridge "Hmm there's a cake would you like that?" "Yeah sure why not" he grabs the cake from the fridge and hands it to her. Coltrane is watching Stacy devour the cake "wow you must be starving or something" as she's Finishing up the cake she turns to him "don't judge me." He laughs at her "I wasn't he leans In closer placing his finger on the corner of her mouth wiping some frosting off you're a messy eater"
There faces start to lean towards each other and just when there lips are about to connect they hear someone knocking on the door "ugh who is at the door!" Stacy opens the door Vanessa? She pouts "do you wanna go to the movies with me?" "Um Coltrane is here right now" Okay she walks inside "Coltrane do you wanna go to the movies with us?"
He laughs "why?" "Because Jeremy was too busy to hang out with me and going to the movies makes me feel better so will you guys go with me?" "Well alright" he grabs his wallet and car keys and they all three walk to his car She sighs feeling upset "Thank you guys it means a lot to me" "Eh what the heck what are friends for"

After there done eating their ice cream Jeremy gets up from the table. "Hey you wanna go for a walk?" "Sure" he takes her hand helping her up "cmon let's go." As soon as their hands touch once again Candace gets another memory
Flashback
CANDACE!
"Jeremy! You came back early!" "Well I missed my girlfriend" "ooh I like the sound of that" "besides you forgot something in France" "I did what!" "This" he puts his hand to her cheek and caresses it and pressed his lips against hers and she relaxes in his arms deeping the kiss.
Flashback over
Candace stares at their hands with a schooled expression "Candace are you okay?" "Huh oh yeah I'm okay" She smiles and follows him out of the ice cream shop.

Coltrane, Stacy, and Vanessa arrive at the movie theaters as there getting out of the car and walking towards the ticket stand Coltrane goes and whispers into Stacys ear "hey we should go see a horror movie and scare Vanessa!" "Yes I totally agree" "hey Vanessa do you want to wait for us inside?" "Um yeah sure"
All three walk into the theatre "what movie did you guys pick?" Stacy chuckled "Um despicable me" she hands the ticket to her and they go to take their seats. Vanessa looks around the theatre "how come there are no kids here this theatre is packed with teenagers and adults!" Coltrane laughs "What teenagers and adults are suddenly not allowed to see an animated comedy?"
"Point taken she starts to get more relaxed as the lights dim out then horror previews start showing she laughs "you know it's funny how they show this at a kid friendly movie I mean I mean if any kids were here they would be scared to." She stops and looks at them. They smirk at her, She screams "this is a fucking horror movie isn't it?" "Hey quiet down there" a random person says
She sinks into her seat glaring at Stacy and Coltrane lI hate you guys!" They quietly laugh "you'll be fine" "Oh yeah because I have a boyfriend here to protect me!" Coltrane laughs at that "Hey don't be bitter" An hour Into the movie. Holding in a scream Vanessa grabs onto stacys arm hiding her face behind it.
1 hour and 30 minutes into the movie. Vanessa See's to much blood she closes her eyes and covers her hears. Stacy huffs "Vanessa really?" "Hey your the ones who took me here telling me it was a comedy movie" she whispered yelled at them with her eyes closed. "Well we definitely learned our lesson" they softly laugh.
After the movie
Stacy and Coltrane came out of the movies holding hands and Vanessa was following behind them "I hate you guys so much!" They both laugh "it's so funny how you get scared so easily" Heading towards the parking lot she rolls her eyes "I was not scared!" Vanessa you were holding on to my arm for half of the movie!"
She laughs and hugs her "thanks for talking me out." "Anytime" Coltrane looks ahead of him and his jaw drops as he sees what's in front of his eyes "oh my gosh isn't that Jeremy and Candace!" "What" Vanessas head snaps towards them "no Coltrane Candace passed away that girl looks A LOT like her and their together that's why Jeremy was busy?"
"I should get back to Benjamin now" she gives Jeremy a hug "thanks for the good time" she leaves she looks at the girl who walked away and Jeremy who was smiling she looks down hurt. "Vanessa are you okay?" "No"
