"Cat Noir! Your stick!" Ladybug yelled, holding her hand out.

Cat Noir reached his hand behind his back and threw the stick at her. She grasped it tightly and nodded at him, giving him her thanks. She tied the string she got from her lucky charm around the end of it and tied a loop. She cast it like a fishing pole at The Banker and the loop caught onto the dollar bill, pulling it from the man's pocket. She ripped it in half and watched the Akuma start to fly away.

"Time to de-evilize!" she said and captured the Akuma in her Yo-Yo, "Gotcha!" opening the Yo-Yo, she watched as the white butterfly flew away, "bye-bye little butterfly." It flew up into the sky and disappeared behind the buildings.

"Miraculous Ladybug!" She cried and tossed the string into the air. Ladybug and Cat Noir watched as the damage caused by 'The Banker' was fixed. Even after months of fighting off evil and hundreds of times of capturing Akumas, the magic their miraculous held was extraordinary.

Cat Noir held up his fist for her to bump and she smiled brightly at him. Cat Noir had become more than just a partner, he was a friend. She trusted him with her life and he with his. They had become an unstoppable team. She couldn't have asked for a better Cat Noir.

 "Pound it."

"Well M'lady," He said, reaching behind his back, "Tomorrow marks exactly 1 year since we first met."  He pulled out a palm-sized box and handed it to her.

She grabbed it and examined the box for a few moments "Cat Noir, how many times do I have to say this. You don't need to give me gifts and now I feel bad because I didn't get you anything."

"Just open it Bugaboo."

She sighed and reached out to open it until she was interrupted by the flashing of her earrings.

She gasped, "I'm about to transform! Can you bring Mr. Lambert back to the Bank for me?" Cat Noir looked upset that she hadn't opened his gift, but she really needed to get going.

"'Course M'lady."

"Thanks, Kitty! See you later! Bug out." She swung from the string of her Yo-Yo from building to building until flipping onto her balcony and transforming. Tikki flew around her hastily. For a Kwami who had just helped stop a supervillain, she was full of energy. Marinette hadn't even given her food to recharge.

"Are you going to open it!" Tikki asked excitedly, flying around Marinette in circles.

"Oh." She said, pulling out the small box Cat Noir had given her. "I don't know Tikki. He really does need to stop getting me gifts. He's a good partner. The best I could have asked for. But I'm still in love with Adrien." She sighed and rested her head in her hands.

Tikki tried to stop herself from rolling her eyes. Both Adrien and Marinette were so blind. Tikki would never forget the look on Plagg's face and the thoughts that shot through her little head when they had said 'Spots off' and 'Claws in' when they were fighting The Owl. She had never really gotten the chance to see or talk to Adrien. The only times she could remember was when Marinette and Adrien had to swap Miraculouses because Plagg found Marinette before her.

"Well just because you're not in love with him doesn't mean you guys aren't friends right?" Tikki asked.

"He has pet names for me, Tikki."

"Just open it."

"I will. I promise. Just not now. I still have school, I'm supposed to be in my last hour of the day. There should be food in there for you to eat." Marinette opened her purse and Tikki flew in and Marinette snapped it shut and ran towards her school. She crossed the street on the sidewalk and couldn't help but think about the time she had run into Master Fu. She often wondered what would have happened if she hadn't helped him up. who would have become Ladybug? Would they have been a better fit for the job than her? She looked back towards the bakery and up at her room. She had the Miraculous Box along with the letter Master Fu had written before losing his memory. She dreaded the thought of losing her memory when it was time to pass it on but her mind slipped to the gleam in Master Fu's eyes when he laied them on the old woman he had loved. She hoped someday someone would look at her that way. She shook off her thoughts and hurried up the stairs of the school's entrance and slipped into Miss. Bustier classroom. She sighed in relief that Miss. Bustier was the calm teacher.
