Chapter 5

Sasha's Moment:
"Your new NXT Women's Champion... Sasha..Banks!" The ring announcer was quick to announce the new champion, as Sasha had just defeated her opponent, Charlotte. She couldn't hold back the tears. This was her moment; her time to shine. Sasha held the belt up, high above her head, showing what she has worked her whole career for; to be on top, and she had done just that.

It was time for the divas to scurry off backstage, due to their time being cut for the next match. As Charlotte left to go get changed from her ring gear, Sasha was stopped by Renee Young to talk about her win and what this glorious moment meant to her. By the time the interview and the whole NXT event was over with, Sasha was already dressed into normal, everyday, street-clothes. The night was full of bliss and nothing could take that away from her.

AJ's Moment
The bell rang, it was over. The widow captured her prey and won. The freak and the geek celebrated in the center of the ring in front of the largest crowd of an audience than what they were used to. It was a special moment for the both of them; Paige's first WrestleMania appearance, and AJ's last. The cheers were loud, the hugging as tight as ever. However, this wasn't the case a couple of nights soon after.

"I still can't believe you left the business. You'll be missed a ton, pumpkin," Paige gave an exaggerated sigh as she stood in her apartment with her dear friend, AJ, or as she now preferred; April.

"Awh, Saraya," April cooed. Even in the most serious of conversations, April tried to lighten the mood for everyone, "I'll miss ya' too, my sweet little crumpet. You were a wonder to work with, but things change." With that being said, and a shrug of her shoulders, she was done packing. April and Saraya were sharing an apartment for the time being, due to them working in a storyline together. Except now, since April was officially retired from in-ring action, they wouldn't need to share the living space. April was off to going back to her home in New Jersey, whereas Saraya would soon live by herself, with the occasional friend visits that usually ended up lasting for longer than either expected. Of course in this neighborhood, there were quite a few other superstars and divas that vacated in the area. Today of all days, happened to be the day that Sasha and Seth were out jogging. Odd seeing them together, April thought when she stepped out of the building and noticed the two figures jogging down the street. Although she had the itch to go talk to, well, both of them, April shook her head and began making her way to her car, which was parked just a few feet away. Once she was situated, she left. She left her friend, her job, and her current state. AJ Lee was a diva; a very fine one at that, who lived in Florida. Now, April Mendez, she left a story to tell, and that is exactly what she would end up doing; telling that story from her creative mind in her novel. Just wait.
