Mixed emotions

Lexi's P.O.V
I was actually trying to learn in class because I needed to bring my grades up. I was copying notes and would glance at Jack a few times across the classroom. I noticed that he was staring at me, so I felt really awkward. My face started to heat up so I pretended to drop my pencil. I really couldn't deal with Jack or anyone right now. -Skip to Lunch-
I was really not feeling well so I just got my lunch and sat at a random table in the corner alone. I wasn't really hungry so I just played with my food. All of a sudden I felt liquid pouring down my back. I turned around to see Victoria pouring orange juice down my shirt. "What the hell was that for"? I yelled. "Oh I'm sorry" she said with her annoying giggle. Everyone in the whole lunch room started laughing. What struck me was that my two best friends, Emma and Kelsey were laughing along. What struck me even harder was that Jack was laughing too. I started to tear up and stood up about to run when someone steeped in front of me. It was Jack Johnson. "Here Lex" Johnson said handing me a napkin. " thanks Jack" I said wiping myself and running into the bathroom. I couldn't take this anymore I thought in my head. I just sat in the stall waiting for the bell to ring. I was about to fall asleep when there was a knock on the girls bathroom door. Since I closed the door I opened it thinking it was someone just wanting to use the bathroom. I grabbed the door handle and opened it to see the one person I didn't want to talk to. I was about to close the door on him when he blocked the door with his foot. "Lex please let me explain" Jack said opening the door more. "No there's nothing to explain" I said backing up. "I'm sorry I laughed back there I wasn't thinking" Jack said trying to look in my eyes. "Oh so you're only sorry for that" I said trying to avoid eye contact. "And I'm sorry for cheating on you, I swear it was a mistake" Jack said grabbing my hands. "I know what you did" I said about to tear up. "What are you talking about" Jack said confused. "I know you made a bet with Cameron that you could date me for a hundred dollars" I said letting go of my hands. "Ok maybe I did but I thought I was never going to stick to one girl, but when I met you I changed" he said continuing. "Everyone knew me as the bad boy who never knew how to truly love someone, but I truly fell in love with you Lexi Roberts" he said almost crying. "I don't care about money or anything other but you" he said grabbing my cheeks. We looked into each other's eyes. We were about to lean in when we heard screams and people cheering "fight" outside in the halls. We both looked around the corner and people huddled up in a circle. We both pushed through the crowd of people. I went in front of everyone and saw sammy and Cameron throwing punches at each other. Me and Jack went in, I held back sammy and Jack held back cameron. "Stop" I yelled as sammy tried to lunge at Cameron. "What's going on?" I yelled pulling sammy by the waist since he was so tall. I looked up at the both of them. They had black eyes and cuts on their lips. "Cameron made a stupid bet with Jack that ruined my friendship" sammy said hissing. "It was for fun" Cameron said looking at me. Sammy started to calm down, so I steeped in front of him closer to cameron. "Cameron do you think it was just for fun?" I asked him. "I'm sorry Lex I wouldn't think it would go that far but Jack truly loves you" Cameron said feeling guilty. I looked at Jack and looked in his eyes. "Does Jack truly love me"? I asked everyone in the circle since they were all friends with Jack. They all nodded. "Alright everyone back to your classes" one of the teachers yelled. "You two" the teacher said pointing at Cameron and Sammy. "Go to the nurses and after go the the principles" he said. It was only me and Jack left in the hallway. "So you do really love me" I said trying to break the awkward silence even though that made it more awkward. "Yes Lexi I do" Jack said stepping closer to me. "I swear I dint mean to cheat on you and I swear I never knew the bet would go this far" Jack said looking on my eyes. We both leaned in and our lips touched. I know this is cliche but it felt like sparks. I felt the same way the first time we kissed. This kiss was different. It was passionate and it felt genuine. We both stepped back. "Sorry" Jack said scratching his neck. "It's ok" I smiled. "I forgive you" I said running up to him and hugging him. "So I guess we're together again" Jack said putting his hands on my cheeks. "Yes we're back together" I said smiling and biting my lip. -Skip To After School-
I was laying down on my bed when I got a call. "Hello" I said. "Hey babe can you pick me up"? Jack said. "Yea where"? I asked getting my sweater. "Um the police station" he said mumbling. "What"! I yelled concerned. "What did you do"? I asked. "I'll tell you when you get here" Jack said. "What's the station called"? I asked. " Omaha police department" Jack said sighing. "Ok I'll be there" I said hanging up.
