PROLOGUE: The Accident & A Second Chance

Earth has been one of the largest habited planets in history, with a population of over 7.8 billion people across the universe.  It is now the year 2021 where Earth is facing a pandemic that has spread all around the world and you just happen to live in it.  Your name is (F/n) (L/n), a 17-year-old boy born on February 1st, 2004 whose life's been turned upside down.  Your parents were killed in a car crash at the age of 8, which you've lived your life alone when the students of your school told you where your parents are, you shut them down.  But after therapy, you've tried to make some friends but couldn't since you shut them down.  The rest follows through.  Before that, you've watched a web show called RWBY and loved every minute of it.

You were walking down from the street for a relaxing stroll with the obvious on your face.  You were planning on going to the store for some items.  You have a steady job now and your life's been pretty basic from there.  As you walking to the store you've noticed something at the entrance.  There you spot a worker and woman known as "Anti-Mask Karens" arguing about the new store's policy "No shirt, No shoes, No mask = No service" at the store.  You were left to facepalm and shook your head from the dumb argument about masks being worn here.  You stood there thinking.

(F/n): "God, I hope this year can be better than last year."

You should've gone back at a later time, but you went anyway.  The lady notices you.

Anti-mask Karen: "Hey, you young man."

(F/n): "Sh*t, bad choice." "What." You said.

Anti-mask Karen: "Don't you think wearing a mask to the store will make people think you're robbing the store or something."

Without hesitation, you replied, "Lady, in a state like this, I'm sure it isn't possible to think I'm robbing a store here."

Anti-mask Karen: "But now is the time to be free from breathing from CO2.  Besides, it's 2021."

(F/n): "I'm not so sure about that."

Worker: "Yeah, we're not in the clear yet, ma'am."

Anti-mask Karen: "Who asked you to be a smart*ss?"

(F/n): "You know what, maybe I should have gone here at another time, I'm out."

As you turned around you noticed four children playing around with a ball.  The little boy accidentally threw it on the street and a little girl ran in the street to come get it.  You turned right and noticed a pickup truck swerving a little.

(F/n): "Drunk drivers."

You've also noticed that it's not slowing down as well.  You turned to the little girl running down the street and back at the driver.  You've realized that the girl was about to meet her doom so without thinking it through, you ran down the street as fast as you could to catch the little girl.  The parents noticed it too as the father ran to her as well.  As you ran to the little girl, you grabbed her and pushed her off the street but you couldn't get out of there in time.  Soon you were hit by the truck and were left sliding down the street.  The parents saw this and were left in shock, even the worker and the Karen saw this as well and they were in shock as well.
