Chapter 8

Y/N's POV:

(10:30 am)

"Y/L/N" Mr. Stark called "yes sir?" I responded "Can you please go to the south tower on the 32nd floor? I need some materials and I would like you to bring them to me, and you can also take something that you find interesting. The list of what I need is on the table" he said "ok"  I responded, and I took the list and left the lab "Wait Y/N" Bruce called "yes?" "I don't know if I'm being abusive, but on the way back can you bring something to eat?" he asked "sure" "thanks"

Already on the south tower I was a little lost, I'm new I don't know where the 32nd floor is, yeah you will say just go to the elevator and press the button 32, yeah but this tower is huge I don't know where is an elevator and even If I founded it, I don't know where the room is. So I decided that I was going to ask the next person who walked beside me.

"Hey sir" I said "Hello" he responded "do you know where the elevator is?" I asked "mmm... No sorry I'm not from here, I'm just looking for someone" "oh, thanks" 

"Hey ma'am, do you-" "Sorry kid I wish I could help, but I have a meeting, and I'm late" she answered and left

And for the next 5 minutes it went on like that everyone was busy. So I had to explore.

"Where are you elevator?" I said to myself  "where-, Oh here you are" "floor 32" I said and pressed the button "now where is the room that Stark says?" I asked myself "go straight to the corridor with the metal door then cross to the left and after passing the commandos cross to the right." someone said "what? Who said that?" I asked, the elevator fell silent "how cool! Now I'm going crazy, I shouldn't have stopped taking my pills" I said "Which medications? You want me to order them? They will arrive in half an hour." the voice said again "damn, now my madness worries about me" I said out loud "which madness?" asked the voice again "I'm not a madness I'm F.R.I.D.A.Y Mr. Stark's assistant" "oh, hello F.R.I.D.A.Y, I'm Y/N" I introduced myself "yes I know, do you want me to order you medication?" F.R.I.D.A.Y said "no, thanks but can you repeat me where the room is?" I asked "go straight to the corridor with the metal door then cross to the left and after passing the commandos cross to the right." F.R.I.D.A.Y repeated "thanks" the elevator's doors opened, and I left to the room

Inside the room I saw a lot of cool stuff, there was everything a tech and engineering nerd could want. Reactors, energy moderators, computer parts, tools, it was like a messy mechanical laboratory. I started to look for what Stark wanted, and then I began looking for that thing that Stark said I could take with me. I searched for a while, and then I found it an old leather case in the shape of a box, it was long and strong, it opened like a chest, it was perfect. 

I know, I know what use would an old leather case be? Well, I haven't found a place to keep my tools and notes. Yes I could have made a more modern one, but I love the classic, besides it's a good idea if someone tries to rob me they will think there are only clothes or papers, and obviously I'm going to put technology in it, but the cover is classic and that's what matters, and it looks good quality.

I was back in the north tower and remembered that Bruce wanted something to eat, so I headed to the kitchen, and there she was, red-headed lady with his blond friend. 

"Hey, how you doin'?" I said with a cheeky smile, "Hello Y/N, good and you" she responded with concern in her voice "good thanks, why so worried pal?" I asked blond gut "Clint, and it's nothing" he responded "ok" I said and started looking for some biscuits "Did you find your friend or did he come back?" I asked "No, and why do you ask if come back? Do you know something?" Clint asked while red-headed lady keep just staring at me "No, but if he isn't here in the tower he's gone he went somewhere obviously" I said "hmm, yeah" he mumbled with a suspicious face, I took the biscuits and some milk and walked away "well hope you find him, bye" I said

(in the kitchen *Y/N doesn't hear*)

- "Why did you just stand there watching her?" asked Clint to Nat. "I don't know" Nat simply responded "there it's just something in her that just- I don't know"

(back to Y/N)

"Oh Y/N you arrived, why did you take so long?" Bruce asked "I got lost, I'm new here, remember?" I responded "Oh yeah" he said softly "here is your food Bruce, and here are your stuffs Mr. Stark" I said "thanks Y/N, I can see you take something like I said, what did you take?" Stark asked "oh, just an old leather case" I responded "wow, I thought you were going to take something else, something more technological" he said "No, I can make all these pieces by hand and I also like the classics." "ok then"he mumbled and went back to work

Natasha's pov:

"Let's find Rhodes" Clint said "why?" I asked "I'm with him" he said "Do you really think she knows something we don't? You've already questioned her yourself." I responded "yeah let's go" 

We found Rhodes with Cap and Sam in the living room and Clint went straight to the point. "Rhodes, I'm with you"
