Lisa's POV
It drives me crazy how things are going well then it goes very bad in just a blink of an eye. Life is really terrifying.
The oxygen that is keeping Jennie's grandma alive is already gone. They already removed it and we are preparing for her wake. The Kims still haven't decided if they want her cremated or not. All of us went back, even her friends. And when we arrived this morning, I was met with puffy eyes Jennie.
"Shit! We're doomed," Sunmi unnie spoke out, showing the news on her phone. News about Jennie being spotted last night at the hospital, pregnant.
"Gran just died. I don't care about their news," She rolled her eyes at the picture. People really want to snoop their heads in someone else's business. Why don't they just mind theirs.
"You need to rest, Jen. Seriously," I keep on telling her because it might affect our baby and her, but she's too stubborn to even listen.
"Just let her. She will stop if she gets too tired," Rosé held my shoulder, stopping me from following Jennie again. I sighed and slumped my body at the couch.
"Are you ok? I mean, with all the Jisoo and Sunmi matter?" I whispered, looking around all the men taking the flowers in.
"Hmm. I don't really want to think about it considering they are currently mourning for their grandma," She answered looking at Jisoo who is not showing atleast one emotion. I stood up again as I saw Jennie leaning one hand on a chair.
"I told you to just stop working," I scolded, holding her up but she swatted my arms away and started walking again. Such a stubborn lady. Now I k ow why Jisoo is too. "Jennie, please."
I grabbed her arms and dragged her to the back where there is no one.
"Just let me, Lisa. I can take care of myself," She snarled at me, trying to get out of my grip.
"We are going to take care of the rest. You, just sit still and don't move too much," I told her, not letting go of her hand.
"Lisa! This is my grandma's wake and I don't want to fight with you so just let go and let me do my job!"
"Your job is done, now go and sit still." I said in a calm tone, dragging her to the couch and sat her beside Rosé. She glared at me but stayed there as I helped the others. Rosé started talking to her to distract her from what's happening. Why can't she understand that I was trying to protect her and our babies?
It's pissing me off how they are trying to mask their real emotions by working and working with the funeral like it's their fault she died. It's not even their fault. Their grandma just so badly wants to meet her husband and children. She can't stand being in the same world as the person who killed her sons. But I can't say I can blame them. I've been doing that, too as I've been told.
It's been an hour and we're almost finished setting up everything and Jin is gone to take their grandma. When I came back to where Jennie is, she is just still, almost not blinking, and Rosé is not there anymore.
"Baby, let it out. Please don't keep it bottled up," I told her, kneeling to match her face. I cupped her cheeks and forced her to look at me. "Let it out love."
She just looked at me, still not moving a limb. It took her a minute or two to hug me and bursted crying on my shoulder.
"Please tell me I'm dreaming," She sobbed. I started rubbing her back, not answering her. "Gran is not dead, right? She's okay. She's just resting at the hospital."
