Jennie's POV

It's my first month of pregnancy now, an I still didn't tell my mother about it. Lisa doesn't want anyone to know it's hers, yet. And I respect that.

"Are you ready?" Rosie asks as she entered my room.

I nod my head, standing up from my bed. I have an appointment today, with the OB that Dr Williams recommended for me. And Rosie is going to accompany there.

Lisa is too busy and I know she wouldn't want to get caught going to the hospital with me.

Rosie drove me to the hospital and stayed by my side during the test and check up. It feels good hearing my baby's hear beat for the first time.

"Please avoid alcohol at all cost. And stress, that's the only problem you have," Dr Milburn reminds me, her aussie accent so thick it's almost brittish. She gave me some prescription about my pregnancy.

"Yes, I will look after her, Dr Milburn. Leave it to me," Rosie smiles.

"Okay, that's all. Just comeback next month for the check up, or if you feel anything weird," She tells me before we left.

"So you would treat me, as you promised," Rosie smiled so innocently as we walk to her car.

"Okay, choose where you want to eat," I tell her, getting in the car.

Rosie drove into a restaurant, that's base on her, she's craving for. We ate there, then she made a stop at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, couse I'm the one who's paying.

The next stop is at the mall, because she needs a dress, base on her. Then I'm the one to pay again. She's making most of it just because she accompanied me.

If I didn't tell her I feel dizzy, she would have still been choosing clothes. So she drove me home and stayed with me for the whole day. It's Saturday, so we just binge watched The Queen's Gambit.

"Are you still planning to talk to Lucas?" She suddenly blurt out. I look at her and sighed.

I think I shouldn't.

"I'll tell Lisa first, then if she agreed then I will," I shrugged, already knowing Lisa would be fuming if I tell her.

"Why talk to her if you know the answer already?" She rolled her eyes. "She will just snap at you. You know she hates Lucas," She's right. But I talked to Lucas after what happened.

"Let's just see," I finally say, ending the discussion.

It's Sunday, it's twelve in the afternoon and there's another news about the Kim Corp losing almost all of the shareholders and investors. And I thought of two person. Lisa and Gran.

I thought she would stop it already. I fished for my phone and dialed her number. It just rings two times and on the third ring she picked it up.

"What is this?" I asked as soon as she picked up.

"What is what?" She asked, acting innocent.

"Lisa, stop this," I begged. "Please, my grandma's life is at risk."

"Then you should visit her, instead of staying at you house."

"Just stop this Lisa," I tell her, a warning laced in my voice.

"You wouldn't dare Jennie, we both know that. You already said it yourself, your grandma's life is at risk," She warned. I almost cried because of anger.

"Just stop this, think of all the employees that will lose their job," I tell her.

"I really am not doing anything, Jennie. The shareholders sold their shares to me willingly after I told them about how terrible of a person is your mother," She said, her tone is so calm and it irritates me even more thst she was so calm.

"Fine! But I'm going to talk to Lucas," I finally tell her. I hear her scoff from the other side, indicating she's gotten mad at the mention of Lucas.

"Meet me at my office," Is her last word before hanging up.

So I took a shower, then wore a yellow hoodie and pants and a white sneakers. Then I made my way to the MNBN Corp.

As I walked by the lobby, many eyes turned to me. Why are they so surprise when I'm the daughter of the fiancé. I took the elevator to go to the top floor after asking an employee I bumped to in the lobby where Lisa's office is.

When I reached the top floor, I didn't even need to look around to know where the hell her office is. It is exactly right infront of the elevator and there's no other door. So she owns the top floor.

I knocked at the door and when I heard a cold voice saying, "Come in." I knew exactly that it is her office.

I twisted the door knob and let myself in. She didn't even raised her head when I came in.

"You wouldn't talk to your boy toy," She instantly said.

"Then stop your plan," I press.

"I'm afraid I can't do that," She click her tongue as she focuses on the conputer.

"Then, we're settled. I'll talk to Lucas about the baby matter," I smile, as if it was the best idea I've ever made.

"Jennie, why can't you understand? That growing fetus in your stomach is mine. It's my child," Her voice is hard and firm. And her attention is fully on me.

"I'll just ask Lucas to own it for a while."

"Can't you see what I'm doing? Fuck it, I'm doing you a favor now for not telling your mother! Then you would come here telling me that you will talk to your boy toy to own my child?" She yells, pulling at her hair in frustration.

"Fine, I'm not going to talk to Lucas. I'll wait for you," I finally gave up. What else can I do? I like her that just seeing her frustrated is making me soft. Ewww Jennie, cliché.

I approached her and gave her a hug. Her body is tense, she didn't even return the hug nor welcomed it. She remaind rigid. So I took another sniff of her scent before pulling out and bidding my goodbye.

After I went to her office, I went straight to the hospital. When I came inside her room, I saw my sister alone there, sitting beside my sleeping grandma.

"How is she?" I asked when she already noticed me.

"Still the same, she was announced to be in coma. It's up to her if she wants to wake up or not," she sighed. She looks so tired.

"Why don't you go home to rest first? We can switch for a while," I requests, but she shook her head.

"You have class tom, you need to sleep," she declines.

"Okay then, but can I stay for atleast a while?" She nods, telling me to sit. So I sat, taking a hold of Gran's hands.

"Hello, Gran, this is Jennie. You didn't lost your memory, right? You still remember me, right? Your most beautiful granddaughter? I'm sorry I haven't visited you for a while now. I'm hoping for you to wake up. You promised me, you'll watch us become successful. But neither of us are successful yet Gran, you're still not allowed to leave. I love you," I ramble to nothing in particular as I held my grandma's hand.
