Jennie's POV
"You keep staring at the ring. Anytime this day, that will melt," Rosie said. I can just hear her rolling her eyes as she typed on her laptop. "What would you be now that you stopped the Business course?"
"I don't know. I'd continue it or just be an actress," I shrugged, still looking at the ring Lisa gave me when she proposed.
"Why don't you just take online classes?" She suggested. She is really bothered about my studies. But I don't want to be a businesswoman anymore. Besides, Kim Corp. already disappeared in the business industry. There's no use.
"I don't want to take business anymore," I said, looking at her now so that she knows I'm listening.
"Then change course. Lisa's company is about restaurants and magazines. Maybe you want to be a chef," She said. She stopped typing and looked at me, giving me her whole attention.
"Then, shold I be a Chef then?" I asked, pursing my lips to thing about the suggestion.
"Why don't you just be a model instead? No one will take care of the twins if you'll become a Chef," She explained.
"Then, I don't need to study anymore."
"Just finish the Business Management," She sighed. I nodded, still unsure of what I will do. I should inform Lisa about going to online classes and see what she could say about other options.
"How about you?" I asked.
"What about me?"
"Are you sure about being a surgeon? I mean, uncle and Alice are both lawyers."
"Of course I'm sure," She smiled widely, turning to her laptop again just as her phone started ringing. Alice's name is written on it.
I grabbed it and answered it.
"Alice!" I exclaimed when her face came in view.
"Oh? Jennie!" She waved at me, smiling widely. "How are you?"
"Splendid. How are you?" I reciprocated.
"Great. I'm sorry I can't come to the gender reveal. It's just I'm working on a divorce case," She apologized, looking really sorry.
"It's fine. What's important is you win the case," I assured her, smiling widely.
"So, what made you call, Alice?" Rosie said, resting her head on my shoulder.
"Nothing. Just checking on you 'cause I heard about the practicum you're having."
"Yeah. I can see you're just checking on me considering you're all dressed up. Thank you very much, sister," Rosie playfully rolled her eyes with a cheeky smile.
"Oh yeah. We're going to Canberra. Wish you're here," Alice said, hopping in the backseat. Then, she tilted the phone to reveal Mr. and Mrs. Park.
"Mum! Dad!" Rosie exclaimed, waving at them. The joy on her face when she saw her parents was contagious.
"Oh? My baby! We're going to Canberra. I wish you're here," Uncle said.
"I miss you baby! You too, Jennie! How are you guys there?" Aunty greeted, already tearing up, just like Rosie is. That's what they call like mother like daughter. They're both a cry baby.
"We're great, mum. I'm currently doing some research. Have a safe trips, guys."
"We will, baby! Don't forget to come home when studying gets a little too hard, okay?" Sometimes, I envy Rosé for having a loving family. I wished my father lived longer. Maybe he could have been like that to me.
