What Have I Gotten Myself Into?

I whip around to see a white tiger slowly creeping up behind me, all teeth bared, growling lowly. I stiffen. I don't know how to react to seeing a tiger. Do I run? Hide? Scream? Suddenly the little husky walks right up to it and rubs its head against the tiger's neck. I stammer in nervousness when another figure creeps out of the darkness. It's a pure black wolf followed closely by a beautiful deer. "W-what the fuc-" I get cut off by the shop keep.

"You see now why it is so hard to find a home for them. They're terrifying." He says. The tiger growls lowly at this comment which makes the shop keep take a few steps back.

"I want them."

"Excuse me?"

"I want them." I say firmly. "I have the space for them and I have the means to care for them. It isn't fair that such large beautiful animals are cramped in a small closet!" I say, hands on my hips, boldly turning my back to the predators that stand behind me.

"You're the one." He says. "The one I was looking for." He says with a small smile. "A pleasure doing business Mrs. Lee."

I blink and suddenly I'm no longer in a tiny unknown pet shop. I'm standing outside my house, a pamphlet in hand. I feel slightly dizzy but I guess I just had a memory lapse so I guess dizziness must be a side effect. I shake my head and open the door to see.... chaos. Absolute chaos. There's a bunny sitting on my couch, a squirrel hiding in my chandelier, a panther flung across my ottoman, a deer eating my house plant.

"What the hell is going on in here??" I yell, quickly stretching to grab the poor squirrel, taking my innocent umbrella tree out of harms way, setting it up on a high shelf. "Where are your friends?" I lead them both to the living room, where the bunny and panther lounge. "How many of there are you exactly?" I hear a sharp growl coming from my patio.

"Oh god. Please no." I run to the back to find a tiger swimming around in my pool and a husky being closely chased by a wolf. At a glimpse there's something in the husky's mouth. "Oh my god."

Out of panic I whistle as loud as I can. They all stop, if just for the moment. Even the tiger halts his rounds in the pool, treading water for a second before slowly making his way to the shallows. "Get inside!" I yell. They stare at me and I catch a glance of what was in the husky's mouth. It was a ball. I guess all dogs are the same. "Now!" The husky takes off running back to the house, the wolf quick behind him as the tiger drags himself out if the pool.

"Hey there big guy." I say, tapping his forehead, signing for him to stop. "Let me get you a towel so you don't drench my house."

I run back inside and wonder how I exactly got myself into this situation. I have half a zoo in my living room waiting for me. I anxiously tilt my head as I grab the biggest towels I have and run back out to my porch where the tiger sits, licking himself. "Alright here." I set one of the towels down and take the other and start rubbing his face. He makes little growl noises in the back of his throat so I back away. He opens his eyes and looks at me as if I've done the greatest thing to offend him. He impatiently throws his head back in my still outstretched hands. "Oh-okay." I say, once again gently wiping the water out of his fur. He makes the same noise again, but quieter. I think I might have hurt his feelings. I frown.

When the first towel is too wet to continue I move to the second. By this time I'm halfway down his body and his tail wags cutely. I dry quickly down his back legs and spine before gently taking his tail in the towel. At this he whips his head around and snarls at me, bearing his teeth defensively. I drop the towel and hold my hands up protectively. "Okay. I get the message. Don't touch the tail." I say trying to stay calm. I mean, how calm can I be in this situation. This giant cat with a bite force that could shatter any bone in my body is inches away from me letting me know who's really in charge in this relationship we have. His eyes hold a slight sadness as he closes his mouth and hangs his head as he makes his way through the open glass door.

I tilt my head again before composing myself before walking through the door to find the chaos has slightly died down except for a cute little light brown bunny tugs on the tail hair of the wolf who lies there, taking the mild inconvenience from his smaller companion. I feel as though this is not the first time this poor doggy has dealt with this kind of thing. I pick up the bunny, forcing him to release his impromptu chew toy. I sit on the couch, setting the overactive bun on my lap and stroking him from his ears down to his little tail.

"Oh my god. What have I gotten into." I wonder out loud. I lean my head back against the back of the couch and stare at the ceiling. After a moment of controlled breathing I sit back up again. "My god what am I going to name you all? Do you already have names? God I didn't even know anything about you and I just brought you all home. Oh my god, what if you have a condition?? How would I know???"

Not even a moment later a gentle head lays on my lap. It's the husky and he holds the pamphlet I had earlier in his little mouth. I nod as thanks as he lays down where he stood, his head on my feet.

"Okay. Lets read this. Hello and thank you for choosing your BEST LIFELONG friends. A common name for them is BTS. It's an old inside joke that just stuck. It's of no use to explain. Allow me to introduce the group. The eldest, Jin, is a white-tailed deer. Very beautiful, graceful and intelligent, if he's fed. The next is Yoongi. He is a black panther. Yoongi is smart, cunning, and very hardworking. If he's asleep, let him. It's not worth the risk. Next, the flying squirrel is Hoseok. Very active, positive, and is often described as "Living sunshine". Unfortunately, Hoseok is also terribly anxious. Keep him company in these times and away from horror movies. Next, Namjoon. He's a Great plains wolf with a unique coloring. Namjoon is incredibly intelligent and a wonder with problem solving and leadership. However, he's also comically clumsy. Take extra caution around anything fragile. Jimin is the husky. He's incredibly affectionate, playful, and all around lovable. But watch out for his dark side. It doesn't show often but when it does keep him away from all people. Taehyung is the tiger. He's a... unique animal. He's got some peculiar actions and behaviors but he can be just as loving and clingy as Jimin. Taehyung can be fairly possessive and aggressive but only when he feels personally threatened. Finally, the best for last. Jungkook. He's the bunny. He's cute, incredibly strong, and seems to be the best at everything. However, if you see any fights between Jungkook and his hyungs, simply ignore the behavior. This is just Jungkook's play. I hope you enjoy your new friends and are open to learning about a new group of animals never before seen. Good luck."
