Summer’s POV

“Summer!” I heard my mom calling through the bedroom door.

“Yes mom?” I replied back getting out of bed.

“Just making sure you're up, honey,” My mom replied.

“Well, now I am,” I mumbled to myself, tired. Man, those late night parties really took a toll on me. ‘No more of those,’ I promised to myself.

I walked over to my wardrobe to pick out my outfit for the day, I pulled out a white crop top that said ‘obey’ across it. I searched for something  that I could wear on my underneath, I spotted black skinny jeans that had rips going down the legs and grabbed them. I threw them on and started on my hair, I turned the straighteners on and then went to the mirror to do my make up  while the straighteners heated up. I put on light mascara and lip gloss-nothing to heavy. My straightners beeped to warn me that they were now hot and ready to use, I was going to have basic hair today nothing too complicated I thought to myself. I settled on just straight hair with a halo braid which was simple enough. After I finished with my hair I grabbed my combat boots and put them on. I walked over to my window to check the weather to see if I would need a jumper, but the weather looked clear so I decided on not wearing it today.

I grabbed my glasses off the bedside table and put them on, not that I liked wearing them but unfortunately I had to. I walked out my bedroom and down the stairs to the kitchen to get a piece of fruit and cereal bar to go. I spotted my bag by the breakfast bar so I walked over to pick it up. I was startled out of my thoughts by my mother.

“Summer hurry up darling or you will be late. Here are my key’s to the car, you can use it today” She threw the keys in my direction and I caught them with ease. I put them in my pocket and said “Goodbye” before I left for school.

I made my way to the car that was parked outside the house. I loved this car it was amazing I mean come on who wouldn’t like 1969 Camaro GTO,  I just wished my mum would buy me my own one so I wouldn’t have to use hers all the time. I arrived at the parking lot to the school within 20 minutes and I heard the first bell ringing signaling that school would start in five minutes, I rushed out of the car making sure I locked it before I made my way into the school.

Damn it! I thought to myself whilst  running up the steps to the main entrance, I pushed open the doors and ran down the halls to try and make it to class on time. Come on summer you can make it I kept saying to myself.

I was taken out of my thoughts when I bumped into someone and nearly lost my balance, but strong arms caught me before I could hit the ground. I looked up into the persons eyes. Oh my god I was so shocked at whose arms I was still in. Ash bloody Brown’s the notorious bad boy of the school, I didn’t know what to do or say as he still hadn’t let go, which had me confused. Quickly standing up, I let colour rush to my cheeks and  looking away, regaining my composure as I apologised and swiftly walked away. I had a class to get to and the last thing I needed was another problem problem in my life. Ash was trouble, nothing else and the further away I stayed from him, the better. I let my mind wander to more important things as I left him gaping after me.

Ash’s POV

I woke up with sweat beading and dripping off of my forehead. Those eyes haunted me, every night, making it that much harder for me to fall back asleep again. Sometimes it wasn’t the eyes though, sometimes it was the hair. That red hair, flying with her as she gracefully jumped out of the window to fall into the deep valley. I had always thought that she might have fallen straight down to the inevitable death she deserved, but I should be so lucky.

Splashing water on my face, I got rid of those thoughts and started to get ready for school, after all I had an image to uphold. I packed my bag and quickly ran down the stairs, shoving a few chocolate chip cookies into my mouth and dusting the crumbs off of my T-shirt. Grabbing the car keys, off of the counter I stepped out of the house. The weather looked promising enough so I decided to leave the coat be. Turning on the radio, I felt myself starting to relax and all the tension slowly disappearing, despite my earlier nightmare.

Reaching the school, I took out my sunglasses and with a quick smirk, put them on as I stepped out of my car. It was show time!

I walked into the school building and walked up the stairs, my sunglasses making it hard for me to see. Just as I walked up the stairs, I felt something hard bumping into me. Taking my sunglasses off, I held onto whoever I had bumped into. It was a girl I didn’t recognise, and I was sure that I hadn’t seen her before. Her blonde hair cascaded down her back and her eyes were a light shade of blue, they had me captivated. I was so lost in them that I forgot I still had hold of her, I finally decided to put her down and was about to say,

“So..” but she cut me off and apologized before I could finish, then she  just turned around and started walking down the hall like nothing had just happened. Not what I was expecting at all, I mean most girls would be at my feet begging me to hold them in their arms. Yet she just walked away like she didn’t care. Thats when I knew she was different and made it my goal to get to know her.
