Alexandria's P.O.V

My perch on the hill was everything I needed to see my next target. Frank is laying by my side, looking in with his own sight.

Every time I see that wretch's face pass the window...it made my blood boil. Rawlins was the man Bennett went to.

The man on my list was Agent Orange.

"Ugh, I can't believe I'm watching the deliberate murder of a C.I.A Leader." Daredevil snarled.

"He's on the list, Matt. Rawlins dies, and he dies today."

"I'm not objecting to it," He sat down with us, the frosted grass crunching underneath him. "I just hope he'll be the last."

"Definitely not."

"Do you even know why or how he killed your parents?"

"No," I pulled back the trigger bar on the rifle. "But I don't care."

It was like Matt was the Angel on my shoulder, the small voice in my head telling me to think. To release my grip on the trigger...

And then we have Frank. The handsome and devious Devil.

He wanted Rawlins dead, for obvious reasons. But ever since he read my list...it was a bloody vendetta. One that was going to end with Rawlins' blood filling it.

William Rawlins is looking out of his window. Perfect.

The sight marker falls between his eyes.

"Alex-"

"Take the shot." Castle snarled, drowning out Murdock's voice.

"YOU'RE KILLING A MAN AND YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY!" Daredevil yelled.

"ALEX, TAKE THE SHOT."

Matt wasn't going to take this away from me.

The bullet leaves the nose and chamber, a sinister smile creeping along my face. This was it.

Revenge.

The bullet sliced through the air. I don't think I've ever smiled so much in my entire life.

But then it dropped.

The bullet only splintered the glass, a spider web of dangerous material holding steady from the impact.

We all perked our heads up.

"...Bulletproof glass-"

"Red, you wanna live through the next hour, you quit while your ahead."

The lights flickered on, exposing us for the world to see.

Time to go!

Frank pulled me to my feet, the black blur whisking me away from the Compound.

Daredevil was probably at the van, knowing how fast he was...but my thoughts were quicker.

I...failed. Frank saw me fail...it was right in front of him! I'm so embarrassed! Is he going to say something!? Oh no, no, NO!

I failed.

I failed Frank.

I failed my parents.

I...couldn't do anything right. I'm worthless.

Why am I even doing this anymore?

We barely escaped the dogs, leaping onto the fence and hopping over the other side.
