"When nothing makes sense, screaming does"
"What? What do you mean? Dad this joke isn't very funny so can you stop playing." I felt tears build up in my eyes. I looked to Christian and his green eyes showed pain and I wanted the pain to go away, but I remembered my anger with my father and turned back to him. Jax stood and walked over and hugged me, a low growl from behind us made me shiver and I knew it was Christian.
"Calm down bro it's just a hug." Jax rolled his eyes and I laughed but I was the one who saw it. He wiped my face off. "Maybe you guys should start explaining before the beautiful Kylie here explodes." I laughed and walked and sat on the couch. I promised I wouldn't be mad at my dad so I walked over and hugged him.
"Seriously, I'm the only one that doesn't get a hug," I glared at him.
"Christian of course you get a hug" I smiled and walked over to hug him, I opened my arms and smacked him across his face instead. "Oops I was going for a hug, but you moved." I giggled, "you still want that hug?" He laughed and nodded his head persistent much? I gave him a hug and suddenly felt relieved from stress and safe in his arms. I relaxed in his arms and let the hug linger for probably to long. I pulled away and disappointment flashed across his face, but was quickly covered with a cocky smile.
"That was a long hug," he said in more of a whisper, he began to lean in.
"Yeah, because you refused to let me go." His hand touched my cheek. I cut him off.
"Don't touch my daughter," my dad said and I smiled at him. I walked over a sat next to Jax. Christian sat on the couch opposite of us. Christian glanced at me and smiled.
"Kylie, I think it would be much better if you sat next to me, it's fair advantage to kill me before I run." Christian smirked when I stood and sat next to him. It was to benefit me not him. I looked to my dad who sighed and was gonna start.
"Dad, I just want you to know that no matter what, I love you." He smiled.
"I love you too baby girl" he sighed again. "It was when you were born," he looked at me and sadness filled his eyes. "A pure blood came to me and said they had a task, it was to take care if you. The man said I was to watch you until you turned 18 then he'd come back and mate you. That man was Christian, didn't know he was a pure blood to now, but yeah. I know who your parents are and I forbid you seeing those cruel fucks." I saw fury light his eyes a red I'd never seen on him before. Did I miss something, or did he say mate?
"Dad, did you say mate me?" My glare turned to Christian. He tensed. "Someone fill me in on the meaning to that?" I looked around the room and no one would look me in the eyes not even Christian, "I'm gonna go for a walk. Christian is my phone here?" I looked at him and he finally looked me in the eyes. Mistake, sent my heart into complete flutter mode. Christian seemed to notice because a cocky grin spread across his face.
"Its in my room, I'll go get it." Guess that was his excuse not to tell me.
"Kylie, mating is just a more intense way of marriage. You two will be eternally bounded. You are to have his children and keep the kings blood line going, its already started. His eyes are green, its a reaction to you. They will only get red when he throws temper tantrums."
"I don't throw temper tantrums," Christian handed me my phone. I kicked him in the shin and ran out the front door. I sat on the porch. The cold wind and my tears making me shiver. No one followed me out side and I'm happy for that. Why the hell do I have to be 'mated' to a vampire? My tears were shaking me. I pulled my knees up to my chest and buried my face into them. I was cold, but I wasn't gonna face them. I screamed into my knees over and over until my throat hurt. I felt a hand on my back. I looked up to see Christian. He sat next to me and wrapped a warm arm around me. I laid my head on his shoulder.
