"Do you have all of your things?"

I looked up at my mom from where I was sitting on the floor. I was packing up my stuff into suitcases because I'm staying with my older brother for 2 months. He lives in England in an apartment, I think. He said it was a 3 room, 2 1/2 bathroom, decently sized place. I was excited to move in since he kept telling me about it and living in England seems really cool.

I've lived in America (sorry if you don't, you can just say you're from another country) for all my life, so I don't really know how different it'll be there. I've heard a lot about how they drive on the opposite side of the road and tea and that it rains a lot there, but that's all I can think of when I picture living in England.

I'm suddenly broken from my train of thought when I hear my mom clear her throat.

"O-oh, yeah I'm almost done. Sorry, I got a little distracted." I say sheepishly.

"Okay, I'll be in the kitchen, just come down with your stuff when you're done. Oh, and if you haven't had breakfast yet, we'll grab something on the way to the airport."

"Yeah, I haven't eaten anything yet."

"Olay, then we'll need to leave soon to make sure we have enough time."

"Mkay, I'll finish packing soon."

She then walks away and I'm left alone with my things. I already have most of my clothes packed, I'm just packing some of my extra things, like some of my books and stuffed animals. And I know, stuffed animals are for children, but it helps me when I feel homesick or when I have anxiety. My favorite one is a red stuffed dinosaur that one of my friends got me. His name is literally just Mr. Dinosaur. (fr tho, I'm just so creative)

I finally finish packing and look around my room one last time before bringing my things downstairs. My mom looks up with a smile as I enter the kitchen.

"You ready to go?"

"Yep. I got all my stuff here." I show her my large suitcase and the duffel bag hanging off of my right shoulder while my carry on bag hangs off my left.

"Sure you have everything?"

"Yeah, I've double and triple checked everything."

"Okay, then let's head on out."

I walk into the airport with my mom and we put my suitcase and duffel bag onto where it's supposed to go, but I keep my carry on bag with me. We then look at my ticket and find where I'm supposed to board my plane and get to it just in time for me to get on. My mom gives me a hug and hands me some money.

"This is for any emergencies that happen while you're over here. Don't lose it. Make sure that you stay safe and do your school work while you're over there."

"Thank you for the money and I'll make sure that I act responsibly and do my work and everything, I promise."

"And make sure to look at your phone, your brother has been texting me asking if I can tell you to answer him back."

"Okay mom I will I will. And I'll make sure to call you and tell you how everything is going over th-"

Suddenly, a voice comes on over the intercom and cuts me off, saying, "Flight 15B is now boarding. Again, Flight 15B is now boarding. Passengers going on Flight 15B need to make their way to the boarding area."
