"Nezuko!" Kyojurou called as he began to follow Nezuko who abruptly ran from their hideout, he volunteered to follow and now he recognized the place they're going, it was towards where the battle is.
His breath hitched, it's been an hour, his hands tremble a feeling of uneasiness settling in the pit of his stomach 'pleasebe alright M/n.' "Nezuko wait!" His calls fell into deaf ears, Nezuko proceeding to still run and soon they arrived to the battlefield Nezuko throwing herself to his brother and Kyojurou feared the situation.
'Kamado... Became a demon?!' But then his gaze suddenly shift to a familiar figure who ran towards the scene and used his body to covered the upcoming attack, A familiar face catching the field of his vision"M/N!!" When Tanjiro had stopped that's when M/n's body went limp, dropping to the ground, he ran forward and stole him, dragging m/n away from the field.
"M/n, M/n, wake up." He cried softly shaking his lover as he placed him into his arms, softly cradling the injured body of his beloved, blood coated M/n's figure, M/n with his right eye only fluttered open a weak smile plastering in his face.
"Kyo..." He weakly called, with all his strength he reached for Kyojurou's face, rubbing his bloody hand against his cheeks "m/n please stay awake! Kakushi!" He called but before one can appear M/n shook his head and turn Kyojurou's head towards his.
"Wh-Why!" He argue turning his lips into a thin line "I-i'm far from saving... Kyo..." M/n's lidden eyes he stared into Kyojurou's "M/n please stay... You promised." M/n weakly smiled as he leaned to kiss Kyojurou despite the throbbing pain and with his last strength.
Kyojurou didn't even bother the metallic taste as he shared a kiss with his beloved, a last kiss with M/n. When they depart M/n cupped his cheek and proceed to smile despite the pain, his thumb wiping the tears in Kyojurou's face, he looked at Kyojurou then opened his mouth to speak.
"I'm... sorry... Kyo.... I couldn't... Ke-keep... My promise... But... Promise me... If we're ever reincarnated..." Kyojurou leaned into his touch, placing his hand over M/n's tears kept rolling down his eyes as he felt his heart were stabbed by millions of blades.
"If we're ever reincarnated... We'll find each other... This time... I'll stay." M/n then slowly closed his eyes, the warmth Kyojurou longed for was gone, as the fire flickered out, he felt M/n's hand limped and fall into his lamp.
"I promised..." He cried, hugging M/n's cold body tightly, soon the Kakushi had to depart them, with a little struggle as Kyojurou had been thrashing around, crying his whole heart out when they tried to take M/n's body away from him.
M/n's death took a big toll in his heart, but he's still the same. He kept M/n's cloak, always sleeping with it. His father tried to offer Kyojurou into marrying another but he refused, his heart only belongs to someone. It only belongs to M/n.
Kamado frowned as he looked over to Kyojurou "Gomennasai, Rengoku-san..." Kyojurou's eyes widen before they soften, he placed a hand on Tanjirou's head and Pat it.
"It's alright... I forgive you Kamado."
When Kyojurou left he sat in M/n's engawa, he begins to live there, sometimes visiting his family to take them outside, he sat there and watched the moon lit the dark sky.
"I promised... In another life I'll be your lover again, M/n. This time... I'll make you stay." He smiled and closed his eyes as warmth engulfed his form in the cold night.
(Modern era)
A boy with yellow hair and red tips wander around the block of his hometown out in blue. He reasoned his dad that he just wants to look around and meet new people, when the truth is his eyes caught his attention.
He turned and soon arrived into a familiar backyard of his neighbor "Hey!" He called catching a boy's attention whose in the garden taking care of the flowers, it was a young tall boy with familiar grey hair and ruby eyes. He jumped from the fence and joined his friend on the engawa.
"You're always tending those flowers, M/n Why is that?" He asked the young boy as he watches the said M/n fidget in his spot, a blush covering his cheeks "Uhm... Because I love them..." Tonjuro chuckles "Me too! You know you remind me of someone." M/n turned to him "Who...?"
"Well... He looks just like you but really tall!! And cute! You look cute too!" M/n blushed as he avert his face from the chuckling sunshine "y-you remind me of someone too..." Tonjuro tilt his head and scooted closer earning a massive blush from M/n.
"Who is it? What does he look like?" He smiled "well... He looks just like you..." His blush increased as his only friend hugged him "Say... Do you believe in reincarnation M/n...?" M/n played with his fingers "Maybe..."
Tonjuro's heart beats rapidly, as he smiled and hugged M/n again "I like you M/n." M/n's eyes widen "Do you like me back?" He stared into those alluring ruby orbs "Y-yes... I like you too." Tonjuro smiled and then stood up, grabbing both of M/n's hand "Then! For now on! You'll be my lover forever! I finally found you M/n!" He smiled brightly. Then M/n's lips curved into a warm smile "I finally found you Kyojurō."
