Shortly after the king left the cave I followed close behind him. He went around the mountain to its other side. This was the prairie arena because it was shaped like a huge football field. Only this would have fit ten football fields in it.
For the audience to watch the fights they raised the rocks around it. Probably for safety reasons for the little ones watching with their parents.
The rock like bleachers where overflowing with draculas and dragons. There was no more room for anyone to sit.
I scanned around looking for somewhere to land and saw a nice tall pine tree. So I landed there and watched as the fights began.
I wanted to see which moves they liked to use better, so I studied every yearling that went into battle against someone from within the audience. When I studied them long enough I could tell the outcome of the fight.
Some of the times I could tell what color their flame was going to be by their color. I was right most of the time I only got five out of thirty-eight wrong for now, they weren't even half way through them all yet.
On the forty-first fight I was starting to get hungry and the sun was beginning to set. The blarkey snake would be a good snack, depending on the size. So I left my tree and went to look for my evening snack. I went back around the mountain and went to the general area I threw my knife.
I landed softly and started to walk around. The wind said that the eggs look like eyes during the evening so I should start with that or I could find it easier by smelling blood.
I went with my second option and seconds later I found it thrust into a tree along with my knife. It had cobra head and the body of a python. I imagined the color would've been blue but it was white. Maybe this was the male and the females are yellow?
I looked down to the ground and of course there where the eye looking eggs looking in every direction. The eggs looked like candy to me, but the blarkey itself was Supernova's and the eggs weren't.
I changed to human and Supernova was by my side. "The blarkey and it's eggs are yours to eat." I said getting the knife out of the trunk of the tree. I got my knife and threw the snake to Supernova and he started on it. "When you get done I'm going to take my knife to the cave then we can go back."
"Okay, but then what will you eat?" He said licking his chomps and then moved over to the eggs and started on those.
"I won't be. I'd rather you eat" I said looking up at the sky.
"Okay I'm done we can go." Supernova said.
I changed back to Supernova and flew off to the cave with my knife in my claws. I got above the trees and flapped faster to get to the cave faster. I got up to the cave and I threw the knife in. Then I left and went back to the fighting arena.
There was a fight going on when I got back to my tree. Though when I landed on the tree it just ended. The king stood up from his throne and spoke, "As you know every year I have to choose someone from the crowd to fight the strongest yearling of the year." He said pausing.
"Well this year there is nothing to worry about because a human has decided he wanted to challenge her to fight. Some of you may remember from last year at Crystal's burning, the boy. He changed from human to one of us. His name is Mann av Ild Slavnet Flamme." He said waiting for me to come to the arena.
I flew off my tree and flew into the middle of the arena and stayed in Supernova's form until my challenger came out.
The king went on, "This morning his egg hatched and the first male dramal came into our world. The dramal's name is Supernova who seems to grow whenever he stretches, not to long ago he was about my size." That seemed to start off the whispering in the crowd. "I know what you're all think 'Why not let the dramal fight?'. Well Supernova didn't want to fight he wanted Salvet Flamme to. Now you may come out Cristina." Cristina walked out from a hole in the rocks. She was big and strong and she walked with great confidence.
