When Matt showed up, you immediately noticed that Pidge was way different around you. She stopped hanging out in favour of seeing him. You understood, at first. He was her brother, who went missing and was declared dead. Of course they needed bonding time, but when Pidge started getting weird at your hugs, and nervous to show affection to you around Matt, it drew a line. So you asked Matt, told him everything, and asked him to talk to her about the situation.
