The trauma caused PTSD for Sarah after she grew up she moved away from him. Living alone was hard she had many nightmares and flashbacks. She was able to get a job at a science building that worked with the life foundation. She agreed to be part of a test with a special serum once injected it created a new symbiote forever bonded to Sarah. Wraith's personality was the direct opposite of Sarah's and in turn Sarah and her became friends after a few days. She then learned of what the life foundation was planning and she broke out trying to be a hero.
