Tadashi woke up the next morning and after eating I ended up just watching MHA until about 3:30, then took a shower and got ready for my date. By 4:55 I was getting my shoes on when the doorbell rang. "One second!" I called before opening the door seeing tukki outside with a rose in his hands. He looked really good. He had on a yellow hoodie and blue jeans. "Y-you look really good." I said staring at him.

"Not as good as you." He said, and handed me the rose.

"T-thank you. Give me a second to put this in some water. Come on in." I say stepping aside, letting him in. "Hey suga, wheres a vase?" I ask, seeing him in the living room, typing something up. He looks up and smiles.

"There's one on top of the fridge. Hold on though, let me get a picture before you do that." Tukki rolled his eyes, but complied with suga and got close to me, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me close to him. I blushed, and smiled shyly, while he put on a small smile as suga took a photo of the two of us. I then grabbed a vase and put the rose in it with some water. "I planned on picking some of the roses in the garden today anyways." Suga said. "Anyways, go on ow you two. Enjoy your date. Be back by 8pm okay? 8:30 at the latest."

"Got it." We said together, as we walked out the door.

"So whats the plan tukki?"

"Dinner and a movie. I figured you could choose where we eat." He said.

"How about... McDonalds?"

"Sure." He says smiling slightly, as we walk to the McDonalds by the theater. We orders our food and after picking up our order and grabbing our drinks, we sat down at a table and started talking while eating. "So I've been meaning to ask, but what do you want to be?" I thought about it for a minute.

"I think I wanna be an artist one day. What about you?"

"Probably a herpatologist."

"Oh? Why's that tukki?"

"Modern day reptiles are the closest to dinosaurs I can get. I'd like to study them, you know?"

"Makes sence. You always did like dinosaurs!" I say smile smiling, before taking another bite out of my burger.

"So whats your favorite genre?" I swallow and think for a second.

"I'd have to say fantasy. It's a lot of fun to picture in your mind. The epic battles between clans and races, kingdoms fighting against or with each other for the sake of good or evil, and you can be whatever you want, despite how you grew up. Things that could never be possible in this reality, are real, even if only in your imagination." I say and realize I was rambling. "Oh, sorry. I was running my mouth."

"No it's fine. I see why you like fantasy so much." He said looking at me with a small smile.

"Yeah! Anyways what about you?"

"I like horror. I like the way it keeps people on edge."

"Honestly, I'm not that surprised. I like horror, but not nearly as much as fantasy." We finished eating, and kept talking about different genres of books and animes. When we got to the movies I asked, "What movie do you want to watch?"

"You choose."

"I chose where we ate, you choose the movie. I'll pay for the tickets since you paid for dinner."

"But-"

"This is non-negotiable tukki." He sighed and looked at the options.

"You okay with a horror movie?"

"Yeah."

"How about 'before I wake' then?"

"Sounds good!" I say as I go up to the guy selling tickets. "Two tickets for 'before I wake' please!"

"Alright, that'll be 1800 yen." I pull out my wallet and hand him the money, and I get the tickets.

"Thank you!" I say with a smile, and we head inside. We decide to skip on drinks and snacks, since we just ate a few minutes prior, and went into the showing. We took our seats, and chatted about nothing important until the lights dimmed and the movie started.

"That was a really good movie!" I say as we leave the theatre.

"Yeah. And the ending was surprisingly wholesome. Especially for a horror movie."

"Yeah! I really liked it. I'll have to watch it again some time."

"Agreed." We started to walk back to my place while still talking about the movie. Both of us really enjoyed it. We arrived back at my street at 7:30, an entire hour earlier than the latest time I need to be home. We decided to walk around the park hand in hand, making jokes and enjoying each others company. We left to go back to my house at 8:20.

We arrived back at my door, both sad that the night had to end. "Thank you tukki."

"For what?"

"For, well, everything. For sammy, for being my friend, for saving me from my parents, for taking me out tonight, for bringing me to a the movies for the first time, for making me actually feel like I matter, and that I'm not just someone for people to get their frustrations out on, or a toy people use for lust. So, yeah. Thank you. for everything." I say looking into his eyes at the end of my little rant. He looks surprised for a second. Then he grabs me and pulls me close, leaning in for a sweet kiss, which I happily return.

This night was absolutely perfect.

The perfect first date.
