Chapter 6.

Naruto POV
I was late for training but, for now, I couldn't care much. Kurama had refused to tell me what the butterflies in my stomach meant. He told me that Sakura was the best person to talk to about this.

I made it to the training grounds to see the rest of the team already there, even Kakashi. "Well, my cute little devil child, why are you late?" asked Kakashi sensei. "Sorry, I overslept at the Hyuuga compound,"

"Alright, everyone does five laps around the lake as a warm-up, go!" Kakashi sensei said. I internally groaned. I got up and started running next to Sakura. Usually, I would go ahead but I couldn't wait any longer. I had to ask what the butterflies meant. "Hey, Sakura-Chan"

She turned around to look at me with a questioning face, "Yes?" I don't know why but I suddenly got shy. Before I could say anything, Sakura looked at me with a smirk and said, "You like someone, don't you?"

I could practically feel the blood rush to my face. Sakura squealed and started asking me a rush of questions. But I stopped her to ask what I originally wanted to. "What does it mean when you get the feeling of butterflies in your stomach around someone" she looked at me as if I were crazy. "Oh, my sweet innocent Naru-Kun, have you ever thought about someone romantically? Like being in a relationship with them?" I nodded. I always had wondered what it would be like to date Neji, Sasuke, Shino, and Shika.

"Well, the feeling of butterflies in your stomach can mean different things. In your case, it could be the nervousness of talking to someone you like more than friends" she smiled at me and asked me who I had felt like that around. But before I could continue, Sasuke had interrupted us.

I turned around and met with the angry face of the Uchiha. He had his Sharingan activated yet, it wasn't what I was used to. He had developed his second tomoe. "Who is the person you get butterflies around Naruto," said Sasuke. His voice was filled with anger which slightly made me flinch. It had reminded me so much of the villagers. I quickly looked around. I was glad no one noticed.

"I don't want to say because I don't know if it is good or bad information," I said. But, before Sasuke could say anything, I was saved by Kakashi sensei. "Alright, today we will do separate training. Go practice chakra control until I come to help you with your Jutsu's,"

We all went our separate ways. I took the space with the most clearing. I had wanted to develop the use of my chakra chains. I turned around to see where my teammates were going. But instead of spotting them. I saw Kakashi looking at me with suspicion. 'Shit' I thought. He must have noticed my flinch earlier. With a heavy sigh, I pushed those thoughts to the back of my mind. Today was going to be a long day of training.

3rd Person
Team seven had trained almost all day. Naruto had gotten training from both Kurama and Kakashi.

Kakashi had given him pointers on how to distribute his chakra. Meanwhile, Kurama had helped him with his chakra chains and gave him pointers. He had mentioned how his chains were identical to his mother's.

Right before the sunset, Kakashi stopped training. "Good job today, make sure to have a full dinner and good rest," he side glanced sakura, "Everyone dismissed, except for Naruto,"

Naruto got nervous. He knew why Kakashi wanted to talk to him. Naruto said goodbye to his teammates. He promised to meet up tomorrow for dinner. Once they were at a decent distance, Kakashi turned from a cheerful sensei to serious within seconds. Naruto gulped. He knew what was coming. He didn't know if he could play off a lie.

Kakashi's face softened as he saw the fear in Naruto's eyes. He sighed, preparing himself for the conversation he was about to have. "Why did you flinch at Sasuke's voice?"

"I didn't," said Naruto, now the author knows damn well Naruto did not just try to gaslight Daddy Kakashi.

Kakashi was debating with himself. He could let Naruto go and wait until Naruto get's comfortable to open up, or he could confront him now and wish for the best. After a few uncomfortable, silent minutes, he finally decided to speak.

"Listen, I know you go through a lot of stuff no teenager should be going through. You come to training starving, sleep-deprived, and even injured without a single complaint. You know you could trust me, right? You don't have to go through all that stress alone. A lot of people are worried about you. They are willing to help. But we can't help you if you don't open up. Please Naru, think about it,"

He had stopped himself as he noticed naruto slowly break down in front of him. Naruto kept his head down. His shoulders were shaking. The slight sniffling had given away that he was crying.

Kakashi brought Naruto into a hug and let him cry. "Let it out. You'll feel better afterward" he rubbed Narutos back in a circular motion. "You can't stop them!" naruto yelled out. He was so frustrated with people trying to help him. There was no use.

"Who cant I stop?" asked Kakashi. He hoped Naruto would tell him who was causing him all this pain. At this point, Naruto was hysterically crying, "T-t-the villagers" he managed to get out.

Kakashi tightened his grip on naruto. "Take me to s-Shika" without hesitance, Kakashi picked Naruto up. Naruto put his head on Kakashi's shoulder and wrapped his legs around him. Kakashi ran to the Nara compound as his life depended on it. They didn't realize how much time had passed at the training grounds. Once they got there, most of the Nara were asleep.

As soon as Shikaku opened the door and saw the tiny redhead crying, he immediately rushed them inside. Shikamaru came downstairs to see the commotion. He did not expect to see the love of his life in a mid panic attack.

Shikamaru practically ran towards the beauty. He wrapped his arms around Naruto and brought him into a warm embrace. "Naruto, I need you to take deep breaths for me,"

Meanwhile, Shikamaru was calming down Naruto. Kakashi explained the situation to Shikaku. To say the least, they were both extremely furious. They wished they could go body slam the Hokage right now, but naruto was more important.

They came back to the living room to see Naruto calmer than when he came in. He had an exhausted look on his face, his eyes were swollen from all the crying. "Do you want to talk about it or go to bed?" asked Shikau as he crouched down to meet Naruto's eye level. "I'll explain..." said Naruto in a timing voice.

He started speaking with his head down. He explained his home life. As the story progressed, the others grew angrier. Who in their right mind would beat an innocent child? Why would they take out their anger on a child who was barely fending for themselves? And the biggest question of all, "Why hasn't the Hokage done anything?"

By the end of the story, Naruto had fallen asleep on Shikamaru. It had taken a toll on his mental health. "Shikamaru, take Naruto to bed. He's had a long night," said Shikaku. "What will you do about this Father,?" asked Shikamaru. He was furious. "Youll see tomorrow--"
