Ana groaned as she pulled up to the new home and found a Harley parked on the drive. She felt tempted to run it over but didn't want to damage her own car. Leaving Phoenix asleep in the car, Ana got out and walked over to the man sat on her front steps.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"I need to talk to you." Angel begged.

"You better hurry." She said. "I've already told Nestor you are here."

"Does he hold that tight a leash on you?" Angel snorted.

"No, it's called trust. Something I lost for years because of you. Now say your piece and fuck off." She ordered.

"I left Coco a note for you. Mom said you could live with them and work at the shop until I got out. You were meant to be waiting for me." He said.

"You left a note." She said dumbly. "A fucking note! You should have told me you were going to prison. It's not exactly a quick bloody process. You knew about it and still let me believe we were making plans for our future."

"I'm sorry, I was a fucking coward ok!" Angel snapped loudly.

The both froze as the car door opened and closed. Phoenix walked over slowly loading his compound crossbow and taking aim.

"Shit." Ana sighed. "Baby, put the bow down."

"It's ok mom, I'll protect you." The boy promised as he raised it up to Angel.

"I'm fine darling. No need to-" Ana's words were cut off with a cry as Phoenix released the arrow.

Her cry was echoed by a deeper one as Angel clutched he leg that had a arrow stuck through. In a moment of surreal shock, Ana laughed before realising it was kind of psychotic. Stifling the laughs and ignoring the angry stare of Angel, Ana ran to Phoenix and took the bow from his hands before he could reload.

"Remember how we call our superhero?" Ana asked quietly slipping her phone into her sons hands.

He nodded, "hit the power button 5 times."

She led Phoenix back to her car and with a sigh went back to Angel. Nestor would come as quick as he could once Phoenix used her iPhones SOS service. She just needed to buy time, time she didn't want to spend with this man. Angel was gritting his teeth and about to pull the arrow out when Ana grabbed his hands.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." She warned. "They are hunting arrows, it'll rip your leg apart either way you pull. You need to cut an end off."

"Nestor's training another fucking killer." Angel hissed and felt the slap that Ana swiftly delivered to his cheek.

"Don't you dare talk about my son or Nestor like that. He's a brilliant father to Phoenix!" Ana growled before noticing the blood pooling on her steps. "We gotta get you to a hospital."

"Just drop me off at the clubhouse." He said shaking his head.

Ana helped him off her step and walked him to her car. She didn't want him getting bloodstains in her car so she pulled her shirt off. She had been prepared for a day of moving and wore a sports bra with her lycra leggings. She wrapped the shirt tightly around the arrow and ignored the painful sounds escaping from Angel.

"Where am I going?" She asked as she reversed out of her driveway.

"Romero brothers scrapyard." He replied through gritted teeth.

They drove silently to the outskirts on the east side of town. As they were close to the old scrapyard Ana heard her phone ping and Phoenix hands it over. She looked down and saw the system notification that her location services had been activated. Good, Nestor was using their iCloud account to find her. Nestor had told Ana a long time ago that his job meant he had to take extra precautions to protect the ones he loved. One of those precautions was a shared iCloud account so they could always find each other's location.

They parked outside a metal gate that was wide open and a few motorcycles were parked inside. Ana turned to the roar of more motorcycles and saw them drive in with Nestor's Escalade. Ana told Phoenix to watch a cartoon as she handed her phone and EarPods over to the boy.

"You. Get out." She ordered Angel as she climbed out.

"Are you alright?" Nestor asked as he moved quickly to the front of the car to check his girlfriend.

"Pissed off but I'm fine." She sighed. "Phoenix shot him."

"What?" He asked before looking at Angel and laughing darkly. "Good job."

"We will talk about that later." Ana said with a wag of her finger. "I just want him out of my car before he bleeds all over it."

Nestor moved over to the door and ripped it open before pulling Angel out by his kutte. He tossed Angel into the dirt and the other Mayans quickly stepped in to block another fight.

"Inside." Bishop ordered everyone.

"Angel!" A rasping voice called out.

"What?" Angel groaned from the ground.

"Not you." The voice said.

Ana slowly turned around to look at the entrance to the clubhouse and found a fuming Happy. He had aged a lot in the last 10 years and a short greying beard decorated his chin. Ana didn't know what to do as he stomped his heavy riding boots towards her.

"Where's my son!" He growled as he grabbed Ana's arm tightly.

"Get your hands off her Happy." Nestor warned as he drew his gun and held it up at him.

Instead of releasing her, he pulled her to his chest like a human shield and put a hand to her throat.

"Not until she gives me my son." He growled.

"Cathy said she didn't know who his father was." Ana rasped through the tight grip on her throat.

"Cathy was a lying whore." He growled before grunting painfully and letting go of her.

Ana fell to the ground wide eyed and gasping for breath only to see Phoenix under the carriage of her SUV with his bow, ready to notch another arrow.

"What the fuck is this?" Happy growled as he saw the arrow piercing his calf muscle.

"Yeah, don't threaten Ana." Angel chuckled painfully clutching his matching wound.

"Nobody threatens my mom." Phoenix stated proudly as he stood up and aimed the arrow at Happy's chest. "I'll kill anyone that hurts her."

"Phoenix, baby. Put it down please." Ana begged as she pulled herself up and put herself between the bow and Happy. "You have done more than enough my little hero."

Ana watched Phoenix lower the bow and sighed in relief. She took it and tossed it away not caring if it damaged the weapon at this point. Nestor was still standing with his gun in his hand but no longer had it raised. Without turning his back, Nestor walked over to his family and stood protectively in front of them.

"What happens now?" Ana asked no one in particular.

"We get everyone inside and no more fucking arrows." Bishop ordered.

Ana looked at Nestor before they both looked at Phoenix who concentrated on his shoes kicking the rocks.

"I'm not sorry." The boy mumbled.

Happy chuckled at that, memories of his own childhood replaying. For the first time he didn't look at Ana angrily, he almost looked grateful. The moment didn't last long enough for them to notice before he turned and limped back inside, the arrow wiggling painfully with every step. He had to admit the boy was brave and had bloody good aim.
