" Who am I?"

The golden sun rays peeked through the green brownish oak leaves causing the girl laying on the hard surface to stir awake. Her confused light brown eyes searched through nature as if to find any clue of the situation she was currently in.

She groaned as she tried to sit up, a jolt of pain tingled all over her body and her head felt heavy. She pursed her lips to stop crying, as the pain in her head grew slightly unbearable and stronger as the second passing by.

Her mind was foggy, knowing as she couldn't remember anything at all. Her throbbing pain suddenly made her feel suffocated along with the lostness, but she didn't want the pain and the negative thoughts to take over her mind. Rather her eyes began to wander over the old trees, the fresh green grasses, the deep brown woods, the brown and somehow green leaves, and mainly the forest.

How exactly did she end up here out of all places?

She tried to remember and soon discovered her attempt to remember anything made her pain worse. The first thing that came to her mind was did she hit her head? She slowly massaged her head as she tried her best to ignore the pain, but soon her hand found the spot that was throbbing most and she gasped, feeling the thick dried liquid.

She slowly brought her hand in front of her and almost gasped seeing the thick red blood. So, that is why her head felt so heavy.

Just how badly was she injured? She pursed her lips to stop crying. It was not the perfect time for showing any weakness.

She started to take deep breaths, she needed to calm down. Her eyes searched to and fro for someone, anyone. But there was not any living soul nearby.

Her eyes got blurry suddenly realizing how lonely she was, the throbbing pain and the sudden fear of being alone in a forest made it worse.

There was no one else in that place, that seemed straight out of a horror movie, except her. She should be scared and so was she, scared, lost, afraid of what was lost, and terrified of the unknown.

She didn't know what to do if any of those wild animals showed up. She shook her head and instead she focused on her surroundings to keep her mind sane. She had to be strong to find out the truth, whatever it was.

The air smelled like grass. The somewhat brown and green colored leaves showed it was the beginning of autumn. She knew immediately she loved autumn. Why wouldn't she? The perfect grass smelled breeze freshened up her mind. It made her feel so alive.

She smiled, discovering something about herself. But for a second, she didn't understand why everything in her mind was so hazed, why she couldn't remember anything at all.

What happened? Why was she here? Why was she alone? What was this place?

Her mind soon drifted over that dreading question that she kept ignoring for so long and froze.

She didn't feel anything. No pain, no fear, no hunger, no sadness because the only question that was eating her mind up was " Who am I?"

She was confused more than ever. What should she do? Where could she find her past? Her family? Her memory? And why she was there in midst of those woods? Alone?

She kept trying to remember but no still nothing. It was like her memory was trapped in a prison and she couldn't even free it. She was like the lost person on the sea who didn't have a clue about anything.

She wanted to scream, cry, and more importantly run from those haunted problems. So she did, she ran as fast as she could unless her legs gave up and she fell. The throbbing pain in her head became more and more.

She started to scream as loud as she could in hope of someone listening to her

She started to scream as loud as she could in hope of someone listening to her. But soon her voice also betrayed her. She laid there angry, sad, betrayed, and afraid. It was like her every emotion rushed to her all at once.

She screamed again," Help, please help me". No one was there to listen, or to even notice.

Before she knew it, her world began spinning and her weakness and fear forced her to end up in blackness.

Sleep consumed her tired body and hazed mind. But with a hope maybe just maybe someone would notice her, maybe even help her. Maybe even find her family.

But she didn't know what was waiting for her the moment she woke up.
