“What did you just say about Fairy Tail?!” A less than intimidating voice shrieked as keys jingled.
“I said that they’re a bunch of drunk has-been’s! They used to be cool but then they got old! Now the only mages there are losers like you!” A bratty brunette boy spat back, further angering the petite blonde girl in front of him.
“Has-been’s?! Fairy Tail is the best guild in the world! What guild are you in, huh?!” She defended, grey eyes full of fire.
“Twilight Ogre.” The boy replied with a smirk and a smug cross of the arms.
“Never heard of ‘em.” She deadpanned, fidgeting with the multiple silver keys on her belt.
“What?! That’s impossible! Twilight Ogre came in fifth last Grand Magic Games, you’ve had to have heard of us!”
“Well,” she smiled wryly. “Fairy Tail came in first.”
The boys face contorted into one of frustration and embarrassment as he squared his shoulders.
“Alright you little brat! I’m gonna kick your ass!” He almost screamed, cheeks tinted red in humiliation.
“Finally. I was gettin’ bored.” His golden hair opponent teased, immediately reaching for a silver key with decorative wings on the top.
As he pulled out a few fancy looking darts, she spun the key around in her fingers before pointing it forward mellow dramatically.
“Open, gate of the eagle, Aquila!” She shouted, obviously trying to put on a show for the small crowd that gathered around them.
A soft golden light cascaded in front of her and a white haired woman in ornate armor materialized, her large, feathered wings catching everyone off guard.
“Right. Whose ass are we kicking today, Stella?” She speaks in a routine tone, seeming used to this.
The mage simply points to the confused looking boy, which earns an eyebrow raise from the celestial spirit.
“Uh, I’m not so sure on how I feel about electrocuting an eleven year old boy…”
Stella makes an urgent, annoyed sound as she pushes some blonde strands of hair off her face and stamped her feet childishly. “Alright, alright,” She sighed, defeated “just don’t throw a fit…” Aquila mumbled as an afterthought.
Unknown to Stella, her parents were watching on the sidelines. “She gets that pouty attitude from you.” Laxus nudged his wife, who shot him a glare.
At the sound of a small explosion and a pained groan, Lucy directed his attention to their daughter, who was sitting on top of the dazed boy and laughing triumphantly, as the celestial spirit pinched the bridge of her nose.
“At least she doesn’t get that from me.” She retaliated.
Laxus opened his mouth only to close it again, lips pursed.
“Touché.”
