Is It Always A Perfect Storm?

Chapter 10

We were simply running. Running where? Who knows. Ash, Brandon, Aly, Rose, Jessie, and I. We seemed to be on a bridge. There was a river beneath us.

"Where are we running?" I run all the time but not running like this. My legs were sore.

"Swimming. They can't see us if we are swimming." Ash, Brandon,  Aly, and Rose all said at the same time. They sounded almost robotic.

I looked behind us and saw people running after us. I couldn't tell who but there are definitely people coming after us.

I felt arms go around my waist and one hand clamp over my mouth. I couldn't scream. I did the next best thing. I bit that son of a bitch.

"Ouch! You bitch!" What the hell? I know that voice. Mike. Mike is trying to kill me. "We are just taking you to the master."

"Who is the master?" Obviously getting annoyed be they way their voices sounded.  Why hadn't Ash tried to save me from him?

At that point I realized this was all a dream. But a bad dream because I couldn't wake up. I was even trying to change it but nothing was working.

We had been walking at a fast pace for over what seems and hour. I may be stretching the truth. Mike and the other unknown figure were dragging me and muttering various profanities at me for kicking them, or trying to scream, or digging my heels into the ground, or biting- I think you get the point. And it was probably only 10 or 15 minutes.

"We're here. Bitch." He mumbled the last part I don't think he meant for me to hear.

They handed me off to 4 new guards. 2 of them picked me up because they knew I would kick and bite and try to scream. The other two were talking in some language.  I couldn't tell which. 

"Where are we going? Narnia?" I mumble and they either don't hear me or they are ignoring me.

We continued to walk for a good 30 minutes I got so bored and tried to talk to the guards for than once but they didn't say anything. Their eyes were out of focus. They almost dropped me on the ground and said she is now ready to see you. I had to walk the last 20 yards to a big door. The door was opened for me and I walked in. I screamed at the person staring at me.

My father....

"What the hell? Did you really think u could just kidnap me?" Then I saw who he had. Ash, Aly, Rose, and Jessie The 4 most important people in my life. My father took out a gun and told me to choose who would die first.

I, being the defiant one that I am, crossed my arms and just stared at him. Then he brought out Jessie. And held the gun up to her head and shot. And while I was still processing that information, he shot Aly and Rose.  I tried to move. I tried to scream. Nothing worked. Ash was the only one left.

"Please don't hurt Ash... you can't!  He is only 17. He still has a life! Kill me! Please don't hurt him!" I was begging now and I was crying out of control.

"Jules it's ok. I'm fine. You don't need to sacrifice youself." Wait he just talked to me.

"Juliette Kathryn Shutt! What are you screaming about up in your room?" My mother shouted up the stairs breaking me out of my trance.

I was out of the hospital and I was fine and the game was tomorrow. Can't wait!  Rival team, here we come!! But we can't do the lift....

It was all a dream! My father... he killed... all of them...

I ran down the stairs into her arms and stayed there. "Where is Aly and Rose and Jessie and Ash? They have to be here." I said through my sobs.

"Sweetie calm down. Ash is at work and Aly and Rose are shoping but you were sleeping so they left with out you." Ok they are all living. Wait. Jessie.

"Mom I'm going to Jessie's and we are gonna go out."

" Ok have fun."

Driving to her house was filled with The Killers, Avril Lavigne, and Ed Sheeran. Right I forgot, I am not supposed to drive well I got my license and got my mom's old Volvo xc60. It's name was Ollie. I got there and went to the door and walked in. I know it's best to knock but we just walk into each others houses.

"Hey Jess! Get dressed we are going out." I didn't see her right away. So I walked into the kitchen and heard Jess screaming at someone.

"Mike! Get the hell out! I don't want you here! You broke my best friends heart and now you are asking me out? Explain yourself." Hah take that Mike. Wait! Mike? Like my 2 year boyfriend Mike?

"Well see I was in the neighborhood and thought back on those boring 2 years on my life and thought 'wow, Juliette has a really hot friend. I could tap that'" really Mike?

"The boring girl your talking about is right here. And Mike, get the hell out of Jessie's house! Also, sorry for waisting 2 years" ha asshole. He left. And surprisingly he only mumbled a few profanities. "Jessie, we are going out to lunch."

"Where?"

"An Italian place I know."

We left and I drove to the place and when we got in I walked up to the desk and a girl about the age of 20 took up to our table. I nicely asked her if we could have Ash as a waiter because we want to surprise him. She said that she would send him.

"Hi, I will be your waiter tonight! My name is Ash. Can I start you with drinks?" He hasn't looked up yet.

"Um yes. I have a suggestion. It's nice to look at the person when you speak." He looks up and a big smile spreads across his face when he sees it's us who made him look up.

"Anyway, is there anything you would like to drink ms. Shutt and ms. Dyner?"

I did a quick look over the drinks and asked Jess what she wanted. "Well sir I think we will get 2 Sprites."

"okay any food while I'm here?"

"2 chicken strips with fries."

"Anything else you guys would like to order double?"

"Yes really.  When's your shift over?"

"10 minutes ago. But I was told that I had to come to this table."

"Ok well we are gonna eat and then we are all going to my house. It's gonna be you, Jess, Aly, and Rose. I have something important I need to tell you"
