Three simple weeks have gone by. The drama at school has died down and now I am getting by. I am still staying at Ash and Brandon's house. Ash took me on a makeup date as he called it, and everything went perfect. We don't get looks when we come into school with his arm around me. But I still refuse to kiss him. (Well in front of everyone at least) And it's not like I wouldn't like to kiss him, but there are just so many people.
Right now my normal routine in the morning is simple.
6am: wake up
610am: get out of bed
615am: shower
630am: blow dry hair and pick out clothes
7am: wake up the boys make them all breakfast
730am: leave for school.
It was a pretty normal day at school. I had art first period. Mike has stopped all together with trying to talk to me. I am still Ms. Popular and captain of the cheerleading team. I love those girls. And what makes everything all better?? Ash let me drive the '53 beauty to school today.
That truck is like my best friend.
1st period art will forever be my personal favorite. Although Ash still won't let me see what he is painting. It's a surprise. The only one who knows is Ms. Day. After art is, again, my free period, so staying to clean up after the poor excuses of teens. My phone keeps beeping but I know it's nothing important. I decide to look anyway.
Ash-the-great: JULIETTE COME MEET ME AT THE FIELD
Ash-the-great: comeeeeeeee onnnnnnn. I just got out of class.
Ash-the-great: :(:(:( I'm all lonely...
Ash-the-great: JULIETTE KATHRYN SHUTT GET YOUR BEAUTIFUL FACE DOWN HERE OR I WILL PERSONALLY COME AND GET IT AND KISS YOU. IN FRONT OF EVERYONE.
WOW. Going to extremes are we? Let's test his patients.
"Attention everyone please report to the auditorium for a school meeting"
Oh no. Was I the only one that would tell that that was Ash? This is bad. This is really really bad. Walking down there was me in a panic and Jessie trying to pull me with her. She couldn't tell that it was Ash.
Siting in the audience and the curtains were shut so I couldn't figure out what was happening.
"Jules please come to the stage"
Luckily there was another girl names Julia and she also goes by Jules. But I was smart enough to know that Ash meant me. So I stayed put and she went up to stage thinking some many would surprise her.
Ash walked out of the curtain and looked at Julia. "Sorry you're not the one I mean. Juliette. Are you gonna come up here or do I have to drag your ass up here?" One of the teachers glared at him for his language. I giggled. Then something dawned on me.
Ash stared walking off stage and I knew perfectly well that he would come pick me up. I practically got up and sprinted past him and to the stage.
"Ok now that your here. Boys open the curtains" and to my surprise there was a giant painting of Ash and I. We were up on the top of the truck looking up. There was just the simple phrase.
The best thing about me. Is having you by me side.
I didn't have any words at all. So I did the best thing I could think of.
I turned around and Ash was right there. I pulled his face down and I kissed the hell out of that boy. A chorus of "awww", "That's so cute" and "Why can't my boyfriend be like that?" I stopped kissing him and pressed my forehead against his.
"I take it that you like the painting. So Juliette Kathryn Shutt, will you be my girlfriend."
"Yes" then like any other sane person would do I started kissing him again.
"Ok you can all get to class now!" I jumped from the sound of the principal. He and I aren't on good terms. So I grabbed Ash and I ran to the back door of the building.
Once we got out to the truck I held my hands out for the keys. " Oh no. I let you drive my baby one time. That's all you get." I made my best pouty face.
"But I have a surprise of where we are going."
"You kids better get back to school or I will call your parents!" Oh no. Ash handed me me keys and we jumped in to the car like mad men. After like 10 minuets of driving. I got a call. Oh guess who? Mom.
Normally I would ignore her calls but I know what this one is. "Hello mom."
"Juliette get your ass back in school."
"But mom I was just gonna come home and say what a wonderful day I had. Since you care now I thought we could have a mother daughter conversation." Even I could hear the heavy sarcasm in my voice. Ash was in the passenger seat trying not to die laughing.
"Juliette Kathryn if you are with that Ashton boy I swear to your grandmother that I will die. I don't want you anywhere near him. He is bad for you. He took you away from me."
"No mom. He saved me from you. You caused me hell at school. And want to know who has been helping me through everything? Ash's dad. Not you. I am only coming to your house to see Aly and Rose." I hung up the phone.
