Survival- part 2

Part 2 is here I'm gonna work on part 3 asp. This story has a bit of angst. And for the yuugcult members who want this quickly. Here💜. This is fun to write and I hope you all enjoy reading this✨

Lucas POV
I woke up in the warmth of yuugo's arms. Although the night was was there wasn't much sleeping. The slightest movement sent pain running up my side. At least we where alive.
"You still alive Lucas?" I rolled my eyes and gave a small nod to my partner. The bunker was dark, the explosion had killed the power. The sound of movement on the other side of the fire caught our attention. He to had survived the night. Andrew sat up and began to gather our supplies.
"What are you doing" I asked as I sat up.
"We should leave now try and get as much distance as we can, because in our current situation we should be luck to hit the forest by night fall" Andrew.. he smart I'll give him that. But I still don't full understand why he's sticking with us. He could of left alone, he's in the best shape out of all of us.
"I hate to say this, but your we should leave now, Lucas can you stand?" Yuugo stood up slowly his injuries still caused great him pain and yet he still worries for me, maybe it had been better if I had of died then yuugo wouldn't have to worry about me and would of been able to treat his injuries better and-
"Lucas?" His voice became worried.
"Y-yeah I could use a hand standing" and with that yuugo helped me up holding me close even after I was standing.
We made our way to the surface, that was hard enough for us all. Crossing the desert will be much harder.
"Never thought I'd seen the sun again" yuugo sighed and shaded his eyes as he looked at the mid morning sun.
"I'll second that, you two where really planning to kill yourselves with that explosion" Andrew scanned the area. Tapping his side.
"We wouldn't of set off the explosion if you hadn't of tried to fucking kill us" yuugo sounded pissed. Of course he was pissed I'm fucking kissed as well, but I'm gonna have to lean to live with it if we want to survive.
"Anyone know what time it is?"
Andrew lifted his arm showing a shattered watch and signed
"Not a clue, my watch is bust" his watch died but not his glasses.
" we need to head east that where the kids where heading" yuugo began to move followed by Andrew.
"Yuugo wait!, I don't think the kids are heading east.." I have to tell them about Minervas message.
"What?" Yuugo and Andrew said in union as we walked.
"Right before the raid, the phone rang, I heard 20 seconds of static follow you a 20 second recording. Minerva is building a revolution" Andrew touched his chin and shook his head.
"That's wasn't the original Minerva"
"How the hell would you know" yuugo asked a look on his face that read in gonna bust your balls of your lying. Andrew took a deep breath.
"I know because I've been to the mans grave, so don't go talking to me like in shit"
"OH YEAH IF IT WASNT FOR YOU AND YOUR SHIT HEAD FRIENDS YOU WOULD BE WOTH YOUR HUSBAND AND WE WOULD BE WITH OUR KIDS" yuugo lost his shit
"YUUGO STOP"
"NO LUCAS IT BECAUSE OF THAT BASTARD AND FUCKING PETER RATRI THAT-"
BANG.
A gun shot. Andrew shot at us. Both of us froze scared one of us was about to claps form a bullet would, which would have been fatal at this point. But after what felt like an eternity nothing happened... we both turned to look at Andrew. He'd thrown his gun to the floor and was crying.
" don't you dare bring him in to this" yuugo stared mouth open. Who did we bring in tho this..

Andrew was right, leaving early was a good call. But we didn't reach the forest by night fall or by morning. It took two days. That means we are two days behind the kids. And no one had talked since the gun shot on the first morning.
We are heading to the jaw of the lion. It's a place mentioned in minervas survival book. But I could tell by the look in Hugo's eyes and how I felt the moment we reached the forest we would need to rest.
We reached the forest by dusk and clambered into a hollowed out tree it wasn't the safest place to sleep, but the moment we sat down We all blacked out to have one of the nicest sleeps in our life.
The next morning I woke up to yuugo lying on my chest and looked around.... Andrew was gone.
"Yuugo.." I taped yuugos head.
"Five more minutes, love.." yuugos voice groggily said as he nuzzled deeper in to my chest.
"YUUGO ANDREWS GONE" I pulled myself up dropping yuugo on the floor.
"Urk... WHAT???" We clambered out of the tree stump  and looked around. No sign of him.
"ANDREW!" Yuugo hollard out in to the woods.
"ANDREW WHERE YOU AT!?" We called for him for a few minutes. Our voices getting worried. We had no reason to get this worked up but we did.
"Can you two shut up your gonna attract the monsters" Andrew appeared from behind a tree. He looked alright.
"Where have you been?!?" I turned to look at him. Andrew held up our canteens.
" I went to the river to fill them up and didn't want to wake you"
"Wha-" yuugo looked from Andrew to the canteen to me.
"Look you may not trust me but this is a survival situation and I want to get back to my family and the only way to do that is with your help"
So he wasn't just being nice.. he still doing this so he can go home. To be honest if me or yuugo where in this situation we might do the same.
"Right then, let's eat" I walked over to our supply of food and pulled out a loaf of bread and split in in to 3 handing the pieces to the other men.
"You guys sounded really worried about me.." Andrew laughed under his breath.
"Ha doesn't mean we like you" yuugo was quick to reply.
We collectively decided to not move today, and regain our strength.
By night fall we had lit another small fight and sat around it as our fourth night rolled around. Andrew took out the photo of his husband again.
"Like I said on the first night, there's no chance I'm throwing this in the fire" Andrew didn't even look up.
"Nun of us are asking you to"
"What's his name" yuugo asked
"What?" Andrew looked up
"Your husband, what's his name" it surprised me yuugo wanted to know anything about Andrew but I was happy they where trying to get along.
"Peter ratri" Andrew said blandly
"Shit..." I said that's why he shot at us when we brought him up. Oh crap yuugo gonna kill him...
"Cool" Wait yuugo didn't kill him. Yuugos face way calm he really didn't care. Andrew smiled a bit.
"How long have you been married" that's the only thing I could think to say.
"Um... we got married June 21 2040"
"Nice, how did you meet"
"Over work" Andrews answer where short but answer the question. That night we all just talked about our lives our family. Turns out Andrew has a daughter called Wendy and she's 6. The night was actually quite nice, we all had a good laugh tell stories. And as the fire died out we crawled back in to our tree and sleep the night away.
