Family Reunion

"Posture Stariana! Woman dont slouch." my 'perfect' mother said with a disappointed expression on her face. I quickly sat up, looking out the carriage window.

"Now remember darling, you will only be staying at your cousins for a couple months while me and your father take care of business." she said without looking at me.

Truly I disliked my cousin. He's very rude. He also doesn't hesitate to use physical contact when he gets upset.

"Yes mother" I said quickly trying my hardest not to make her angry.

My mother and father are the owners of several musical stores. They are always gone, so I don't see them very much. I usually stay home with my servants, but my mother decided to send them on holiday until they get back. I've learned how to play many instruments because of my parents profession of business. My mother says its proper for a lady to know how play an instrument.
My head suddenly hits to roof as the driver went over a rock. "That is what you get for not sitting correctly" my mother says looking at me, then looking away. I stay silent. I wouldn't want to upset her any further.

We finally pull up to my cousins manor. As we pull to a stop, somebody comes out the front door as a way of greeting us. "Good afternoon my lady" he says emotionless to my mother while bowing to her.

The door bursts open and comes out a boy. "Cousin Stariana!" the boy yells in my ear while hugging me.

"Hello cousin Alois." I said putting my head down.

"Stariana women always have their chins up!" my mother said slapping my back. I quickly look up to see her stepping back into the carriage, driving off.

"Come cousin! Lunch is on the table!" the blond boy said while taking your hand, guiding me into the manor.

We both sat down at a long table. "Claude made soup for us. I hope you enjoy it!" Alois said with a happy expression. I nod quickly as you pick up my spoon. Claude gracefully glided into the room with a cart. He placed down both of our dishes then taking a bow. "Thank you." I say quietly, starting to eat.

"Stariana, we must attend a ball tomorrow. I will get a dress ready for you.." he said looking up at the door. "Hannah! Hannah! Go make my cousin a dress for the ball tomorrow! Make sure it's perfect!" He yelled. The maid with purple hair nodded curtly. She had an eye patch on.. 'I wonder what happened to her' I thought as you took a bite of your food.

"Alois?" I said shyly looking up at him. He hummed in response. "Who's ball are we attending?" I asked.

"Earl Phantomhive's ball."

Hi everyone! This is first authors note! Well I just want to clarify on the name "Stariana"... Well it's my actual cousins name. She was born a couple months ago. She's adorable ^.^

Anyways I just wanted to say that I will write as much as I can. I'm still in school so that is always my first priority. Okie. I'm going to go now! Thanks for reading!
