So, apparently, I have a plotline now? I mean, I'm pretty much making this up as I go, but y'know. This was just supposed to be some shorts, but I'm over here writing a full-ass story in between classes.

A new voice spoke. "Ooh, what's this? Red, you've met these two?"

Cryonics whirled around in time to see Dabi, scarred as ever, standing with Miko in a headlock. He had one hand planted against Miko's chest, already smoking and ready to release a flare of blue flame.

Cryonics froze, snarling at her new opponent. "Dabi, let him go." The impulse to call the firey asshole 'purple zombie man' was strong, but she ended up deciding now was not the time to antagonize him.

Dabi cocked an eyebrow. damn it all, can everybody do that?!  "What, I thought you just said you don't like these guys? What happened to 'I don't and have never known you'?"

Cryonics shook her head, irritated. "They've still helped me out. No, wait. I don't have to explain myself to you. Let him go, and we'll let you go back to your stupid League unscathed."

Dabi let out a throaty, smokey-sounding laugh. "Oh, you'll let me, will you? The only reason I haven't fried doctor boy and foot over there already is because then I'd have to deal with you and your stupid fire immunity."

Cryonics frowned. "Then what the hell do you want, you stupid purple zombie?" oops.

Dabi glared at the insult, tightening his hold on Miko. "What I want is to know who the hell you are and why my fire doesn't burn you."

Cryonics groaned internally. "Good luck, buddy boy, I don't know either." Dabi looked unimpressed. "No, really. I lived at an orphanage till I was 12. No idea who my parents are, what my last name was, anything."

Dabi looked suitably confused and surprised. Just then Miko took the opportunity to try to break Dabi's hold on him,  twisting around suddenly. Dabi released a burst of flame that blasted over Miko's head, barely missing him. Miko dropped to the ground, attempting to crawl away as fast as possible without getting burned. Cryonics sent a blast of ice towards Dabi, succeeding in drawing the fire user's attention.

Dabi and Cryonics traded blows, sending bursts of flame and ice across the street at each other. Cryonics realized that as she fought Dabi more and more they started to learn each other's fighting styles. Dabi seemed to be able to dodge her giant blasts of ice designed to trap him, and she'd been able to duck and jump around the smaller, more concentrated blasts of fire that he sent her way. Her clothes were still burning away though, and unless she wanted to end up completely naked or exhausted she had to end this soon.

So she shot off away from Miko's house, planning to head towards the nearby lake. Somewhere behind the adrenaline, her mind spun. Water-fire, right? Surely he'd be weaker in the water? Wait. Am I just planning to jump into the lake?

She heard footsteps on the roof nearest to her, and assuming it was Dabi, she sped up, fear and adrenaline pushing her thoughts away. She'd been using her ice to propel herself faster, but the cold ice was freezing her feet through the holes in her shoes. So she used her ice to propel herself up to the rooftop opposite the one where she could still hear footsteps.

Standing on the roof, she glanced around looking for the crispy fire-user. But her eyes caught on someone else. Niko? The boy stood on the roof across the street from her, clearly having been the one running beside her. The strange thing was, he didn't look tired at all. She'd been running, with her ice propelling her, for quite some time and quite fast. How and why had this kid followed her?

This is short because school is stupid and inspiration is scarce. Hopefully, I can work up more this next weekend.
