The Train

just wanted to note that in this story max uses she/they pronouns :)

"Checklist, checklist" "Mum look you -" Max repeated before getting cut off by the sounds of her mothers wand swishing "Here we go, alright" as she looked to read off.She read off supplies.    "Alright, wand? Got it?" "Blimey, mum promise Ive got everything I need" "Swear?" Mother asked holding out a pinky finger as her wand clutched in the other "Mhm trust me" as Max held hers up to it. 

You felt her skin clash into yours as she gave you a last hug "Now have fun and write to me when you finally beat marlene in chess" She said with an eager smile.  Ive been practicing, expect a letter soon," Max said as they heard the bus rushing up to her stop. Max yelled goodbye to her mum from the bus window as it left the stop. She always knew it wasnt her mums favorite time of the year when they had to leave, but it was Max's favorite.

beginning of sixth year

 When the bus stopped at the station she grabbed her trunk and bags and hopped off, landing in a puddle right at the bottom of the bus steps. They saluted the bus driver away and found her way to the 9/3 1/2 platform. It was odd that she saw no other wizards, the train was due to depart in 40 minutes. As they jumped thru with ease,  the feeling of pure exhilaration came back . She saw many faces she recognized, but one of her favorites,she spotted immediately, Remus bloody Lupin. She jumped up high so he could spot her. She tucked him in with a hug, "Where'v you been" he said as he pulled away with a bright grin plastered on his face. 

"Blimey it couldnt have been that bad" Remus shrugged as he walked into the train trying to find the others. "There you are you lanky bloke" James said as he peered up behind them.James gave Remus a kiss on the cheek. It was true, every since seeing him three months ago, Remus grew more than ever. The three of them finally found an empty compartment and got comfortable. Remus sat on one as James decided to take the empty one, but it didnt stay empty for long.
