This chapter is from Biana's point of view, and I know it can be a little annoying switching up the pov's, but I thought it was kind of important to do this from Biana's pov, you may not get it now, but I just thought it was kind of important.

I pushed through the double doors, my body Vanishing as I got to the other side-didn't want her to see me and run away. I turned my head down both hallways, damn it, Vida... where'd you go? I was about to go right, but a nagging feeling said go left with sparkle-fied arrows pointing down that hallway.
So, I went left.
Despite the fact I had Vanished, my feet still made a patter down the hallway that I tried silencing. Wait...
Is it better to sneak up on her?
Or just be in plain sight and hope she won't run?
I stopped for a moment and sighed. I turned to look at my reflection in the window, now I could actually see myself. My eyes were drawn to a specific, lighter scar running from my shoulder to my elbow, and I wondered why Vida never brought up my scars, she didn't even stare at them for a weird amount of time and then pretend she was looking an interesting floor pattern like most others. She didn't make some big deal about it asking for the story of her grand "victory," she didn't make her feel bad about it... she just accepted that it was apart of her now, it was her skin now.
What does Marella... well... and Tam...
What do they see in her that's so bad?
Well... I can see why Tam is like this-he just wants to protect everyone, he's just trying to keep us safe-but I'm a little confused about Marella... she's never been like this much before, so I wonder...
There's only one theory that have, but it's kind of absurd... or is it????
Suddenly, I realized I wasn't paying attention to wear I was going, and I slammed into someone walking briskly from the other direction. We bounced off each other and both hit the floor. I quickly scrambled up and realized it was Vida I had crashed into.
Her hair was tied up into a messy bun, held by a black hair-tie that was on her wrist earlier, and her eyes looked slightly glossy. Otherwise, she looked a mixture of angry and sad, which was weird because-in my eyes-they are almost conflicting emotions.
Bitter and sorrow.
Enraged and bereaved.
The only thing they really have in common is the feeling of pain.
And the feeling of cracking until you're finally broken.
I talked with Vida, and although we didn't get to talk much with the end of lunch approaching, we both added each other to our Imparters, and I asked her if she wanted to come over to Everglen to talk after classes ended. She said she loved nature and I wanted to show her the lake, it seems like something she would like.
Well... classes have now ended.
I'm waiting by the LeapMaster, my eyes scanning the crowd for Vida. Linh and Marella are talking next to me, Fitz has been a literal ghost all day, and Dex keeps trying to calm Sophie down (she's excessively picking out her eyelashes and has been for the past 10 minutes).
I'm trying to ignore Tam in every way possible... and then there's Keefe...
He's different... I mentally face palm myself, Of course he's different! He's been through so much already; it's bound to change him!
