Giorno opened his eyes, being comforted by a pair of warm arms. Since when did he get in bed?
"Fugo?" He asked, Fugo held him closer.
"Are you awake?" He asked, Fugo responded with a groan.
"Yeah..." He spoke, he was never asleep in the first place, he was just, very tired. Giorno cuddled closer to him. He felt sad for some reason. Like something really bad just happened.
"What's going on?" Giorno questioned, hoping to get a simple response from Fugo.
"Just shut up and go back to sleep." Fugo responded, of course he was grumpy, he was very tired.
"No. What happened? Did I fall asleep? It's the middle of the day." Giorno tried to sit up, but Fugo refused to loosen his grip.
"Just go to sleep, I'm not explaining anymore than that." Fugo said. Giorno moved up closer to the silver haired boys face.
"Hey Fugo?"
"What." Fugo groaned.
"Are you angry?"
"I'm always angry."
"Why this time?"
"Something I said, that should've never been said in the first place." Giorno looked down and thought to himself for a bit. So he was mad at himself? What for?
"What did you say? And to who?" Giorno hurried his head back in Fugos chest.
"You ask too many questions." Fugo expressed visible emotions of annoyance.
"I know, but I only ask them because I want answers." At this point, Fugo had given up. What the point negotiating with this Mafioso with an unhealthy amount of resolve.
"I said...I told you that nothing is worth it, and you were slaving yourself away under a pile of paperwork for not. You didn't respond lightly of course. So I didn't see you for the rest of the day. Then when I found you in your room, you were asleep, and drenched in sweat. You looked like you were having a nightmare. So I decided to stay and apologize to you when you woke up." Fugo responded, he couldn't even muster the fortitude to look into Giornos beautiful green eyes.
Giorno nuzzled his nose close to Fugo.
"It's okay then. I'm not angry."
"Wish I was that way too..." Fugo responded, already knowing Giorno was asleep already, he had gotten his answer and that was all he needed. ________
