"Wake up prima , we have to get ready for school " Maya tugs on me .

"Already" I put the covers over my head .

"Yes, we have to be out the house by six-fifty am. You can use the up stairs bathroom to shower . I'll use the down stairs bathroom ." Maya walks out with a small blanket covering her.

After forcing myself out of bed , I took a nice hot shower . I threw on a black long sleeve crop top and Nike grey joggers . I put my hair in a messy bun.

As I walked downstairs, I noticed how well dress Maya was . She even did her makeup.
"I'm a mess " I whisper to myself.

"Woah , you're beautiful without even trying . It took me almost an hour to get ready.And I'm still not ready"Maya said.

Before I could replied , Maya continue talking.

"Mom made pancakes , she left for work earlier." She said putting her shoes on .

"Let's eat then " I said .

Maya and I ate two pancakes each .

"Isn't Kevin going to come with us too?" I asked .

"He left early in the morning . He must really have a girlfriend " Maya said confidentiality.

Maya drove us to school in her black 2012 BMW. This school was ten times bigger than my old school.

Maya showed me my locker . Fortunately, her locker was 3 rows from mine .

" I almost forgot" Maya said handing me my schedule.

"Thanks " I said.

Two boys and one girl walked up to us . The girl was blonde , short and had blue eyes. The boy next to her was tall and had blond wavy hair . His eyes were green , he was very handsome.His friend beside him wore glasses. And was really scrawny.He seem to be playing a game on his phone.

"You must be new girl ? You're very beautiful like people describe you "the blonde girl smiled at me .

"Yea, you're right " the guy in the glasses glance at me for a second . He then proceeded playing the game on his phone .

"Everyone this is my cousin. That's Emma , the boy next to her is Xander. The one that's gaming obsessed is Steven." Maya introducing us.

"Hey , I'm Vanessa " I waved at them .

"Where are you from ? I love your name as well" Xander said smiling .

Woah , even his smile was perfect . I caught myself admiring him .I even almost forgot to answer his question.

"Um Los Angeles, California and thank you " I said nervously.

I noticed Emma frowned when Xander complement my name.

"We're glade to have you here. You have to tell me all about California. I heard it's a stoner village " Emma giggled .

"Yes , a lot of potheads " I awkwardly laugh .

"The bell is about to ring , what class you have next? " Xander ask while taking my schedule from me .His face instantly lit up.

"We have all the same classes except fourth period " he smirk.

"Yes , she has my fourth " Maya smiled.

"Well, let me walk you to class until you learn how to get around the building" Xander assisted.

I nodded my head . He took my leather book bag and carried it on his left shoulder. I instantly felt butterflies in my stomach .

Thanks to Xander school wasn't a terrifying place to start off new. He showed me around the building . He also helped me with class work. Before we left school I gave him my phone number .

Maybe Leavenworth was going to be good for me . I needed to find peace and happiness. That's what my mother would've wanted .

When Maya and I got home , she quickly dragged me into her room .Her room had a large fluffy rug . She had ruffled bedding. Everything in her room was clean and neat .

"So tell me everything , do you like Xander ?" Maya asked desperately and excitedly.

"Like him? I barely know him Maya" I giggled.

"What's not to like? He's a honor student . He's caption of the football and soccer team . He volunteers at animal shelters every Saturday. His family is also loaded . This is my first time actually seeing him interested in a female. I was even beginning to think he wasn't into females." Maya said nonchalantly.

"Maybe if I get to know him" I consider .

Xander was perfect , maybe to perfect than I deserved. I hold a lot of sorrow within me .I'll only bring him down .

"Anyways , I over heard Kevin talking to his friend . He's going to some party. Since it is Friday we should go" Maya said ,scrambling through her closet.

" I don't know , does Kevin know we're going ? " I asked.

"Where's the fun in that ?" Maya smirk .

"I don't know Maya , do you even know who's going to be there?" I sounded like a concern mother.

" Truth is , Kevin has a super hot friend name Tony. I'm in love with him. I'm also certain he'll be at this party. I've try so hard to get close to Tony . But it's like Kevin pushes me a way from him . He told me Tony was bad news. But the hearts wants with it wants ." Maya frown .

"Fine but if Kevin catches us there , it's on you girl ." I smiled .

Maya jump up and down . She was happy , she must really love this boy .

" Mom working a night shift at the hospital today. She'll be home around 3 am , so we'll have plenty of time . Get ready and please no sweats " Maya placed her hand on her hips.

"Fine , no sweats . But I was actually starting to think I was pulling them off " I giggled .

"Anyone with your face can pull off a trash bag . You look just like your mother , naturally beautiful." Maya said .

I heard plenty of people tell me I'm my mothers twin . But I never quiet believed them . My mother was completely stunning . I'd never compare to her.

I had time to take an afternoon nap .I set an alarm for nine pm , so I could wake up and get ready. I knew how sincere Maya was about Tony . I wouldn't want to do anything to jeopardize her from seeing him .......
