Sing With Me (Percabeth AU)

CHAPTER 1

I was in our record room until the door crashed and the boy standing there started to talk.

"You're singing you broke me first???" He said. He had his hoodie on and some pair of blue jeans. I could tell he was a tall and kind of troublemaker boy with a mischievous smile that made me think of how attractive it looked on his face. Wait... why did I think about that?

"What?" was all I could manage to say. I was too busy thinking about how hot the boy staying at the door was, but still, I managed to get that off my mind

"I'm sorry I'm late, I just run out of time I was sleeping. I'm sorry" the raven-haired boy said

"You must be Percy?" My producer said. Mr. Brunner

"The one and only"

"Good. You can sit next to Annabeth"

I wasn't understanding at all until Mr. Brunner explains to me "this is Percy. this is the one you gonna sing some of our covers since our studio is in a critical time"

"I thought it was a girl," I asked

Percy sat next to me and one of the producers gave us the lyrics we were gonna sing. He kept looking at me, once in a while, Reading the paper sheets in front of him.

"Yeah I thought that too, but the girl you were supposed to be singing with, had a voice break and she's in recovery. But the company gave us someone better... Percy?" Mr. Brunner said

"Yes?" Percy said without looking off the sheets.

"Are you ready to start?"

"Of course"

The producer decided to listen to Percy first. I didn't think he could have a nice voice when he first entered in. But I was wrong. His voice was amazing. The producer liked it too and told me to join him.
So I did.
Maybe you don't like talking too much about yourself
You should have told me that you were thinking about someone else
You're drunk at a party or maybe it's just your car broke down
Your phone's been off for a couple of months so you calling me now
Percy sang and I took the next phrases
I know you like this
When shit doesn't go your way you needed me to fix it
And like me I did
But I ran outta every reason

I stopped to hear Percy sing, but to my surprise, he didn't. He was looking at me with a glitch in his eyes. And my body froze, while we held the gaze. A smile appeared on his face, and without breaking our connection, he sang with some high notes, not like the original song goes. And let me tell you, that was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard

Now suddenly you're asking for it back
Could you tell me where did you get the nerve?
Yeah you could say you miss all that we had
But I don't care how bad it hurts

He winked at me, letting me know to sing the last phrase

When you broke me first
We ended.

None of us had broken the stare. But we both were smiling like some babies to who you had given candy.

"That was awesome" the voice of Mr. Brunner walked us back to reality. "You two will work perfectly fine with each other, but I think you should know one another, for more productivity "

"What does that suppose to mean, sir," Percy said

"Hang out with each other, talk about life, I don't know what teenagers do nowadays. Be friends. You've gotta work on a lot of projects, and I want you on good terms. Is that clear?"

"Okay" I murmured, and he dismissed us.

"You have a nice voice" a soft voice whispered in my ear. I smiled with myself just by the tremble his voice gave me...
