Chapter 10: ten

When Anna arrived at the dorm room she looked like the world shattered right in front of her. Tyler and Marco is comfortably lounged playing video games in their room. She immediately noticed Connor missing.

"Where's Connor?" She asked before plopping her head on the bed.

"He's out.... On a date." Marco answered wiggling his brow effect.

Anna was too tired and emotionally drained to delve on whatever Marco just said. But she thought it's a good thing that Connor went out on a date. It means he's getting over his attraction towards Eva. That could only mean he might no longer any animosty towards her. Which is a good thing. In no time they'll be back to normal.... Hopefully.

"Uhm okay, That's good to hear."Was her muffled reply.

Tyler noticed Brad's unlikely behavior. The Brad they knew is like a ball of energy. Always full of excitement.  "Troubles in paradise Brad?" Tyler asked worried.

"If there's even a paradise." and with that she closed her eyes to sleep.

Eva woke up determined to make amends. She knew she liked Anna. And most defenitely don't wanna lose her as a friend. She thought about what Rachel told her, assurance. Assurance would mean commitment. And she doesn't even know if wanted to venture that part yet. She liked her, liked her alright. But that doesn't mean they'd jump into a relationship.

I'm sure there's a different approach to that assurance thing - She thought.

It's Sunday so she knew she'll not likely to see Anna unless she arranges something. She decided to send a text message asking her if she's free. She doesn't know  what to do yet but she'll think of something later.

After an hour and still no reply from Anna she's starting to get worried. She even tried calling but she's  not answering her phone either. Eva is getting antsier every passing minute. That's when she decided to visit Anna's dorm room and was relieved to find to find that the boys are actually playing soccer on the field.

Maybe she wasn't really ignoring me, she was just busy all along, silly me - Eva reasoned in her thought.

She passed soccer field, true enough she found them playing soccer. Olivia scanned the field looking for Anna. When her eyes landed on two figures near the bench she knew right away it's Anna. She can recognize even her back. When she got nearer she realized it's Connor with Anna.

Hmmm seems like they sorted things out - Eva thought to herself making her smile.

Anna is happy that Connor finally talked to her. Seems like the guy finally found a girl and got over his teenage boy infuation with Eva. They aren't back to best buddies stage again but atleast they're in team mate/ room mate stage.

Connor noticed Eva approaching. He smirked and said. "Your girl.."

"What girl? Who?" Anna was confused.

Connor gestured to his back. And when she turned her head. True enough there was her girl walking towards them. She looked beautiful in her baby blue sun dress that reached just above her knees. She's smiling sweetly. And momentarily Anna forgot everything that happened yesterday. She offered a small smile.

"Hi Brad!" She surprised both of them by kissing Anna on the cheek and engulfing her in a hug.

Anna was rooted on the spot she doesn't even know what to do. "Hi." She finally managed to utter something.

Eva noticed Connor. "Hi Connor!"

"Hello Eva!" He smiled genuinely.

"Tanner! Bring your sorry ass back in here right now!" The soccer coach shouted making Connor slowly make his way towards the field leaving Anna a

"Boon I texted you, I even called you.. You weren't answering any of it." Eva asked softly

Anna shrugged the butterflies in her stomach and answered Eva avoiding eye contact. "Uh I kind of left my phone at the dorm Eva, Sorry."

"You too Shumate!" Both girls heard the soccer coach again.

"I gotta go, Eva." Anna said making Eva completely in a wreck.

So she is really avoiding me huh? - Eva thought spacing out from the sudden pain in her chest.

"Yeah okay.. Break a leg boon!" Eva said kissing her cheek once again before Anna walked away from her.

"What do I do?? She is clearly ignoring me." Eva rambled biting her nails walking back and forth.

"Chill out Eva! You're making me dizzy, Maybe she's just busy?" Rachel asked trying to calm down a very problematic nervous Eva.

Eva is not that kind of person but when it comes to Anna she loses her mind.

"Listen Eva did you do what I told you?" Rachel eyed Eva making the other blonde to look down while shaking her head.

"Should I just text her and say sorry?" Eva said about to bite her nails again but Rachel slapped her hands.

"Stop biting your nails damn!" Rachel then massaged her temples, she's getting frustrated about Eva's rambling and Anna's ignoring.

"How about this." Rachel said making Eva look at her direction and start discussing about Rachel's so called 'plan'

Anna's pov.

My phone buzzed too many times but I don't want to check it, it's just gonna ruin my mood and then the cycle of getting hurt goes on and on.

I don't want to get hurt again and again so I leave it it.

Then voicemails after phonecalls..

I was just listening to Eva's rants why was I not answering her calls.

I sighed.

"Hey sissy, I just want to let u know that I am flying next week cause a bird told me that i need to study well, LOL. But seriously! Our performance was done and they are giving us a freaking break! Jesus finally yayyy haha but yo see ya next week boon! and also! do well on my studies! bye sis." the voice mail ended.

This brat really.

But soon came into realization. If Brad's back then I can no longer be here and cause trouble right?

Maybe.
