"no", Ash had firmly replied.

"Then what are you going to do? it's the best option for you".

"no, it is not". Ash had said with conviction. This wasn't the time to back down.

Before I am your daughter, before I am your sister, before I am your friend, I am me. Iwill not give up anything or everything and I will certainly not give away my freedom.

Ana had always been quite supportive of Ashs' dreams and life choices but yesterday she was not ready to budge. Ana and Ash had been arguing over the same thing for past three days now but to no avail had they gotten their views changed on the matter.

Ash thought of agreeing to her mother just for the sake of a little peace that she hoped she would get by getting back to Cairns, her home town, but she couldn't. She had always loved her hometown and never imagined to leave it but the dreams she had dreamed had demanded more.

The living room in which the banter had taken place was clean and tidy, spotless as always (her mother was a clean freak). This house was near an off road cafe in Cairns, with four bedrooms , a living room, a kitchen and a backyard with a pool. Although they lived close to Australia's Great Barrier Reef, she didn't mind the pool.

Eveeytime she'd come home, there was always something to argue about which was exactly the opposite she hoped of when buying this place.

Ash had been working as a product designer for Dior for the last three years and also had been completing her commercial pilot's licence training alongside. It was way too hectic but he'll if she gave up on her dreams.

Standing here in the middle of living at 11am  she could hear her mother in the garden. She was humming a tune from some hindi film like she always did. Ash went into the garden to tell her mother that she was leaving in a few hours .

Ana seemed indifferent towards her because of the argument earlier (Ash scoffs: of course).
She loved her children but there was only for so much time that she could bear with them.

Ana liked her own company just as Ash liked her own. After They'd overstayed their welcome at each others, it was quite clear on their faces. Ana had used everything to persuade Ash but none seemed to working- emotional blackmail, manipulation. Ash hadn't given up. Ana thought of ignoring Ash but decided against it.

"Well, if you're leaving in a few hours then we might have lunch together". Ana replied
"Sure", Ash had said.
Ana couldn't give up just yet, it was her daughter. She would try again but after talking to her wife later.

After the lunch, Ash went back to her room to pack a few remaining things. There was still a Ash's room. (Moms would never turn their daughters room into something else)

Ana drove Ash to the airport. The ride was rather silent one as compared to the Constant bickering that they were used to having when driving. They reached the airport just in time  tge flight was in thirty minutes, there sure was some time to kill.

While Ash was unloading her luggage from the trunk of Anas' SUV she heard her mother come up behind her.

"Visit again soon?" Ana asked. Ofcourse she'd ask this, for all Ash knew that her mother was not gonna let the matter slide that easily.

"Sure", Ash retorted rather sheepishly. Only when Kai(Ashs' brother) andAriadne(her other mom) returns, Ash thought to herself.

"Hey ma?"
"Si?"
"Can you tell Kai to call me, he's not answering any of my calls", Ash said
"Sure honey, will do.", Ana replied.

Ana and Ash hugged. After this synergy they bid their final goodbyes.

There was thing about goodbyes, we always set aside all the tension and grudges(if any) at the time of goodbyes because they are just special.
