Chapter 5

After two months

"They should've been here by now," I muttered to myself while looking for my family. Delhi airport was one the most crowded airport in the world.

After ample discussion, it was finalised that Ana, Ariadne and Kai were going to meet me at the Delhi airport and then we would together board the flight to Jaipur, where Ana grew up.

It was late March so it wasn't so cold here so I had decided to go with a lilac sweatshirt and grey sweatpants. Plus my flight was just some hours less than a day.

Of course, I wouldn't be wearing jeans. Huh

I spotted a familiar head among the crowd collecting baggage. Brown hair, tall, built just fine.

"You gotta be kidding me", I surprise whispered to myself.

What was he doing here!?

Noooo! This was my family trip. Who the hell invited him.

"Ash" I hear someone calling my name. As I turn back I'm embraced in a hug by my parents. I return the gesture with equal excitement. Ana was in a white kurta and white pants while Ariadna chose a sky blue kurta with the matching pants. Both of them looked adorable together.

I can't help it. I adore my parents. They just look so cute together.

"Who invited that devil here?". I question them after they've had viewed me from top to bottom. It's their way of confirming whether I've been eating properly or not.

Neither of them answer my question. It is as if they didn't even hear me in the first place. Ana walks a few feet away to answer a call.

I repeat my question. This time Ariadne has no choice but to answer it seeing Ana isn't there to save her.

"Ana did. She thought it would be nice to have your friend since this was your adieu trip before, you know, everything plus his girlfriend dumped him so he needed a vacation." She replied.

"Joe isn't my friend he's my nemesis. His only goal in life is to make my life dismal."

"That, my dear nemesis is factual " I hear his voice just behind me.

"Of course it is," I mutter. After heaving a dramatic sigh just to tell him how detested he is here as I hug Kai. Kai chose a grey hoodie with black sweatpants. However, Joe was dressed as he had been on a work trip.

Reevaluate your choices man, if you're going to travel for long hours choose out outfit appropriately.

Kai and Joe had been assigned the duty to bring the baggage. Both of them had their backpacks and four suitcases, two each.

Wow, I had outdone myself this time. I had two suitcases with a backpack. Huh

We had about two hours before our flight to Jaipur so we sat down in the waiting lounge.

Ana and Ariadna were in some discussion, Kai was busy texting someone. As soon as I was about to sit Joe took my seat.

"Come on shoo that is no way to treat a lady", I say hitting his arm.

"Violent woman that is no way to treat anyone, this is torture", Joe said smacking my hand away exaggerating everything I do.

Sometimes I feel if I'm that considerably
Irritating, but then I dismiss it cause I know one thing for sure. It is that I'm a queen.

"Go sit there, there are many chairs here", he said as he took a book out to read.

"No, you go. I was here first." I retort stubbornly.

At this statement, he simply puts his headphones on, ignoring me.

"I'm being nice to you and walking away right now but I will get my revenge." I walk over to another couch beside Ana and Ariadna's across Joe.

What he doesn't know is that he's in for a surprise. His decision to come with me to Holi is the one he's going to regret most. Mr Clean freak is going to suffer. I smile to myself plotting my revenge against him.

I'm so going to have fun on this Holi.
Haha *evil laughter*

"No no you're going to behave this time, I know for a fact with that evil smile on your face that you've been planning something evil.  At least not this time Ash. He's been through a rough time. Give him a break." Ana declares.

She had finished her chat with Ari and also witnessed my encounter with Joe, I think.

"He doesn't give me a break, it's like he's sucking out all the happiness from my life. He's a death eater." I reply with an innocent face.

"I'm just saying don't do anything stupid like you always do. This time you may achieve a whole new level of it." She says putting her hands up in a defensive manner.

"Come on mom, I'm not that stupid.", I counter.

"Right." She answers and goes back to whatever Ari and she were chatting about.

Sigh, now I can't even plan revenge.
It doesn't matter what anyone says, I'm gonna give Joe a hell of an experience.

The time passed by and we went to board the next aircraft to our final destination, Jaipur.
It was one of the most beautiful cities in India.

Ana had been born here, but then mom left for Australia for schooling and then all of her education. She visited regularly but never thought of eternally coming back here.

Or maybe she had, I don't know it.
