Today was one of those lazy days. It was 6pm in the evening but it was still light outside. Getting out of bed, I went to the kitchen to make myself dinner but was instantly annoyed at the lack of food in the cupboard. I guess I'm just gonna have to go food shopping then. I went back to my room and put on a basic grey dress since I already showered earlier in the day and a pair of fur slides. I grabbed my bag and car keys and went to my parents room.
"I'm gonna go food shopping, do you guys want anything?" I asked peeping my head into my parents room seeing them cuddled watching a movie in bed. I always adored my parents relationship, they were that cliché "high school sweethearts" and have been happy ever since.
"Ooo cranberry juice please." My mum said.
"What bout you dad?"
"I'm good. What you cooking though?" He asked.
"I'm thinking shrimp alfredo?" I responded.
"I've even been craving your shrimp alfredo!" My dad said getting excited. After my mums cooking, I was his favourite cook which made sense since my mum taught me everything about cooking.
"Hurry up because you know I don't eat after 8." My mum said.
"Yes mother. I'll be back in 30 minutes, love you guys."
"Love you too."
"Love you!"
I got in my car and immediately turned on the air conditioning. It was so hot outside and I didn't wanna sweat through my dress since I was already wearing grey. As I was driving, I noticed my car making an unusual noise, I sighed thinking about the dumb amount of money I was gonna have to pay to get it checked out, or I could just tell my dad about it. I connected my phone to the bluetooth as I stopped at a red light and I put on Destiny's Child - T-Shirt. I increased the volume to block out the noise of car was making as I sang along to the lyrics as I drove to the supermarket.

After 10 minutes of driving I finally arrived. I got out the car and into the store with my trolley. While shopping my phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID and saw it was Brielle making me pick up straight away.
"Hey girl." I said putting my phone down as I had my airpods in.
"Hey, what you doing?" She said as I heard shuffling in the background.
"Doing some food shopping, I'm cooking tonight do you wanna come over?"
"I was gonna ask you if you wanna come to Jo's games night tonight?" She said. "But I want some food." She whined.
"Why am I just finding out about his games night now?"
"We're literally planning it now. We're both bored."
"Who's coming?" I asked.
"We don't know yet that's why we're calling around." She said in a 'duh' tone. I could tell she was rolling her eyes.
