The whole village was up early, ready for a full day of training. Mando had woken up Mila as soon as the soon was up, he wanted her training with everyone else, harder than everyone else - if the plan went south and the village was lost; he wanted her to have an idea on how to protect herself and the child.
At hearing footsteps behind her, whom she assumed were Mandos - or should she say Din; she resumed in dressing the child for the day. Since him telling her his name, she didn't really know what to call him and had been avoiding conversation with him since he woke her up. "Mila. Are you ready?"
She looked over her shoulder to see him leaning on the door frame of the barn, "I don't see the point of this if I'm not allowed to actually fight." She spoke, letting her hands drop from dressing the baby and in to her lap. The baby - who realized her attention was wavering from him, quickly waddled over to Mando letting out a loud squeal as the man lifted him in to his arms.
"Because if something happens to me and this all goes south, I need to know that you can protect yourself... and the child." he admitted as he walked over to her, helping her off the floor. Mila released a sigh as she looked up at him, she could almost see her reflection in his helmet. "If I'm training with everyone else, I should be able to fi-"
"We spoke about this." He ground out, interrupting her. "I'm done talking about it, the answers no." He spoke, ending the conversation. He walked back towards the door but when he noticed she wasn't following; he quickly spun to weigh her down with his stare. Mila could sense his annoyance as he stood there and she ground her teeth in anger before moving to follow him out the barn, all the while muttering under her breath.
They moved to the outskirts of the village, towards the farming land. Mando walked over towards the group of children that were playing by one of the ponds and silently knelt down to settle the baby on the ground. "Stay here and be good and Don't. Eat. Anything." He told the baby as he pointed his finger sternly at him. Mila couldn't help but laugh, out of everything to be scolded for, he was scolded for eating too much. Mando couldn't tell if the child understood him but seeing the baby tilt his head at his orders was a good enough sign for him. Standing back to his full height he moved back towards Mila, guiding her away and towards their designated training area.
Mila couldn't help but feel apprehensive at leaving him as she looked back at the baby, but once she saw how much fun he was having with the other children ,she felt herself relax a little.
Mando gently pushed Mila towards the other villagers as he stopped to stand in front of them and Cara moved to join him. "Okay listen up!" He shouted over the voices of the crowd. "You got two problems here." He carried on, once everyone had quietened down. "You got the bandits and you got the mech. Me and Cara will handle the AT-ST but you gotta protect us when they come out of the woods. And I don't have to tell you how dangerous they are. Cara Dune here was a drop soldier for the rebelian and she's gonna lay out a plan for you, so listen carefully."
