Hey everyone! If you've taken the time to read this and give my story a chance I greatly appreciate it. I've never written fanfiction before despite having read several Fairy Tail ones. I wrote this story a while back to be honest, but was too nervous to post it anywhere. It's been sitting in my google docs for months and I couldn't take it anymore. I would love to hear what you think so please reach out via the comments and let me know!

Before we get into the story I wanted to reveal the inspiration behind it first. I see this common trope in Fairy Tail fiction where Natsu and/or Lucy is the ruler of a country or realm. These stories often have to deal with cool power ups or a vengeful love triangle, which is great! I enjoy reading these stories, but it always struck me as odd that nobody ever brought up the fact Natsu and Lucy would be TERRIBLE at running a country.

Lucy can't even pay her rent on time and Natsu is well...Natsu.

So I thought it would be hilarious to write a story where Natsu and Lucy are just hilariously bad at their job. I tried to keep their personalities as close to canon as possible to really exemplify how much the two struggle.

Of course that was only the inspiration. Once I started writing a whole adventure began to form and things, well, started to change. The fun, silly, light-hearted inspiration is still there...I think.... but it's wrapped in a hopefully entertaining adventure.

Plot Changes

This story takes place several months after the war with Alvarez, but before the 100 years quest and all that. All the major plot points happen the same as the original story with two notable exceptions.

In this story, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy did not attend the S-Class trials on Tenrou and we're not stuck in the Fairy Sphere. They are seven years older here which puts them somewhere around 25ish.

Additionally, Acnologia was never defeated. Acnologia escaped from the time-rift, disappearing beyond the horizon. He's still out there...somewhere.

Okay, I think that's it...I hope you enjoy Dragons & Demons & Wizards, oh my!
