As the bright golden light dimmed, Fairy Tail found themselves on the outskirts of a great forest. Not unlike the one they just traveled from outside of Magnolia. Except these trees were easily four times as large. Huge, hulking monstrosities growing side by side. Trunks so large you could ride a train through them, maybe two. The boughs extended high up into the heavens. The grass was soft, with an almost blueish tint. The air was cold, brisk, and smelt of pine needles and ash.
As they took in the scenery around them the wizards were left speechless by the natural beauty. Huge floating islands hovered high above them, slowly orbiting through the sky and far ahead snow capped rocky mountains dotted the horizon. Lush grasslands extended as far as they could see, the pristine natural beauty was mesmerizing. They would have been completely surrounded by the bountiful nature had it not been for one monumental structure that stood in their way.
Just ahead of them, a colossal stone structure dominated the landscape. A castle that would put Mercurius to shame. Over 30 towers rose up from the castle's main domicile which itself was over a hundred yards wide. The stone had a white tint to it and shined as if it were platinum. Bright lights glistened from the many visible windows that dotted the castle enveloping it in a warm golden embrace. A large obsidian-like wall surrounded the abode and extended up some 20 feet in the air. The wall's dark presence was a warning to any who seek to enter the castle walls unwelcomed.
The castle's most defining feature however, was the ornate carving on the stone itself. Each tower had a large stone dragon placed at its zenith. The dragons were depicted bellowing up to the heavens in a chorus of silent stone roars. On the obsidian wall, two dragon heads were etched into the stone with red paint. Both dragons gazing at each other in perfect symmetry. Between them a swirling vortex of stars.
"Oiiee" Happy murmured in pain as he collided with the ground. Carla accidentally letting his small ice prison slip through her fingers as she was overcome with shock. The rest of Fairy Tail was speechless as well, unable to move. This world didn't seem real, as if it came straight out of some fantasy novel that Lucy liked to read.
Their wonder was interrupted however by the sound of horses. A galloping stampede of armored knights quickly closed in on their position. All in identical armor to the two knights they saw earlier. 40 soldiers quickly encircled the mages who had clumped back-to-back in a defensive stance. The knights lowered their spears at the intruders, the point of their weapons just feet away from the Fairy Tail mages.
"Unhand Lord Happy at once or face the wrath of Draconia!" A female knight shouted. Clearly some sort of commander, this knight had large feathers of a bird of prey attached to her helm signifying her rank.
"No! It's okay they're friends! Please don't hurt them Commander!" Happy called out from his block of ice. He knew the knight would not hesitate to attack, and he could see Gajeel and Laxus cracking their knuckles in anticipation for a fight. Happy could not let that happen, no matter what.
The knights all paused and looked at each other cautiously. Clearly their lord was a prisoner of these strangers, they couldn't let him remain that way.
"That's an order commander! Have your men stand down!" Happy shouted. The knights quickly obeyed and lowered their weapons as the commander dismounted and began walking towards the intruders. The guild turned their heads towards Happy, completely flabbergasted that voice came from him, and even more shocked the knights listened without a hint of hesitation.
"Forgive us Lord Happy, but we cannot in good conscience allow you to remain in those icy shackles" The feathered head commander replied as she removed her helmet revealing long flowing auburn hair that fell well past her shoulders and steely grey eyes.
