"So...what's happening here?" Yoongi finally asked.
After the showcase, Hoseok had managed to get away from well-wishers and his fellow performers long enough to invite you out for dinner as a celebration.
Most of the instructors and students already had plans with their own friends/family afterward so the invite list really only included you, Yoongi, Amy, Jin....and Jimin. The latter had been coming initially, but suddenly got a phone call and had to leave.
He apologized profusely and told Hoseok that he'd see him soon.
So the rest of you found a place nearby to eat. And although no one had planned to bring it up, it seemed Yoongi was going to rip off the band-aid himself.
"Where?" Hoseok countered.
"With Park Jimin," he explained with a pointed look.
Amy suddenly cleared her throat loudly.
"Yoongi, maybe that's not--" you hissed.
Hoseok sat back and laughed. "Oh, you noticed!"
"Kind of hard not to," Jin replied as he took another bite of his meal.
"Yeah, I'm sorry. I guess I forgot to mention."
"I'd say so."
"Guess the cat's out of the bag. His hairdresser did a great job, right?"
"Huh?"
Hoseok frowned slightly. "His hairdresser. You were asking about my hair, right? He said that he always has the same girl work on his dye jobs. I would have done it from the box like you, but it was nice to let someone else do it professionally."
The four of you sat in stunned silence for a few seconds.
"Who did you go to?" Amy finally asked.
"Jeongyeon, over at Double Take. I think she did a great job."
"She did," Yoongi agreed. "And fast too. We just saw you last week."
"It was a spur of the moment thing. I finally decided a few days ago."
"Well, in the spirit of that, I'd like to propose a toast." Jin raised his glass. "To Hoseok, our friend and inspiration of hope. May your next performance be just as good as it was tonight. And just as full of surprises."
The rest of you joined in on the toast. Hoseok beamed, trying to find a way to change the subject before he started getting emotional again.
"If we need to ask about anything, it's about what's happening with you two."
The air suddenly shifted and you felt everyone's eyes on you and Yoongi instead.
"What?" you replied.
"Matching your clothes with your husband. Very cute. Something an actual couple would do, although I'm surprised Yoongi agreed to it."
Yoongi sighed. "It was just an accident. Not like we planned it, like you and that new instructor you were dancing with. What's the story with him?"
"Oh, Yugyeom! I met him a few months ago. It's actually a funny story."
Dinner ended not long after that. The five of you split off to your respective homes. It was a quiet ride, right until you got to your driveway.
"Shit. What do they want?"
You glanced up to see a familiar black car sitting along the curb.
The Min family.
By the time Yoongi parked, his parents had already exited the car and strode up to meet you.
