"You're getting a divorce?"

There was a few seconds of silence as you and Yoongi glanced at each other.

"Turns out that we don't like each other," Yoongi replied with a shrug. Jimin rolled his eyes.

"There are tear stains on your shirt that would beg to differ." He shook his head. "You two haven't even been together a year, how could you be getting a divorce?"

"Jimin," you hissed. "Do you mind lowering your voice?"

"Why?"

"Not everyone knows about it." Jimin followed your gaze to see you staring at your parents sitting farther down the hallway.

"You haven't even told your parents yet but you're out here talking about it like it's the weather forecast?"

You opened your mouth to respond but Yoongi put a hand on your shoulder.

"Look, Jimin. The truth is that my parents think I'm a terrible son with pipe dreams and their solution to that was to provide me with a new bride and a fancy company."

There was another few seconds of silence while Jimin processed this information.

"I didn't think arranged marriages still existed."

You gave him a small shrug. "Turns out they do for the rich and powerful."

It was obvious that Jimin was having a hard time processing this information, so you sent Yoongi to refill his coffee (the whole reason Jimin had overheard you at all).

"We're breaking the arrangement," you assured him. "We'll be divorced soon enough, so just don't tell anyone in the meantime, okay?"

"I don't understand. How could your parents agree to this? It's ridiculous." He ran a hand through his hair. "If you need anything, let me know."

"Need anything?" you repeated.

"To help with...whatever you're doing. Breaking this arrangement."

In spite of yourself, you smiled at him. If by some strange twist of fate your parents had chosen Jimin instead, you doubted he would have been as spineless as your father believed.

"We will." You gently squeezed his hand. "Sorry that you had to find out this way."

Yoongi chose that moment to return, passing off the newly filled coffee to Jimin. "Thanks. I'll take this back to my mother, I guess. I don't need any more caffeine for a while."

Before you could tip off any more passerby, you decided it was best to go ahead and leave. You said good-bye to your parents and Mrs. Park.

On the way home, a thought suddenly occurred to you. "Yoongi, what was Tae doing at the hospital?"

"Oh," he replied slowly, "he wanted to tell me something."

"About that producer?" Before he could confirm or deny that, you glanced out the window. "I hope it works out this time."

Yoongi smiled softly. "So do I. But we've got some other things to figure out first."

The first thing you needed to figure out was exactly which shareholders you could convince to help you.

Unfortunately, that was going to be hard to accomplish in more ways than one.

You found Yoongi after work later that week in one of the empty meeting rooms with stacks of papers.
