The waiting room of the law office was nice. At least, that's what you thought.

Jin was due to be released from the hospital tomorrow, so barring any problems, you had all of the bills ready. Yoongi had finally agreed to see Mr. Choi and get to the bottom of his offer, as long as you went in person.

He had hardly spoken on the way over, and he was the same once you arrived. You spoke to Youngjae while he hovered close by. Thankfully, the paralegal hadn't been phased at all by his curtness, so you could only hope that the lawyer you were supposed to meet handled the situation similarly.

The two of you only had to wait a few minutes before Youngjae waved you into the hallway.

There were half a dozen small conference rooms lined along the hallway, but he took you to the furthest one at the end of the hall.

"Choi Siwon will join you in just a minute."

Yoongi grunted in reply. You tried not to roll your eyes and sat down on a chair across from the door. He paced around for a few moments before hovering around the chair next to yours.

A few seconds after he settled, for lack of a better term, a man came through the door carrying a few files and a notepad. He set his belongings down before smiling warmly at both of you.

"You must be the Mins. It's a pleasure to meet you." He held out his hand, which Yoongi shook first. You followed suit, returning the smile.

"It's Yoongi."

"Ah, yes. I'm told that you also prefer your first name, (Y/N), is that correct?"

"Yes."

"Perfect," he sat down and folded his hands on the table. "I am Choi Siwon. You can address me as Siwon or Mr. Choi, either is fine with me. I'm the head lawyer with this firm and as my paralegal mentioned to you previously, we are prepared to offer you a settlement to pay for the damages of the car crash that occurred because of our client. But before we make any arrangements, I'd like to speak with you about the accident."

"Why?"

"Yoongi," you hissed.

Siwon chuckled. "No, It's a perfectly reasonable question. I'd like to make sure that your memory of the events match with what our client has said. In case this should ever go to court."

"Do you think that's a possibility?" Yoongi pressed.

"As long as you agree to the settlement, no. There's no reporter present, so this is all off the record. It's simply a formality on my end to tie up any potential loose ends."

And so you described the incident to Mr. Choi. He listened intently, writing down notes here and there. He stopped and asked for more details on certain parts of your story. You described as much as you could for him.

When you were done, he consulted his notes and nodded to himself. "Thank you. And you're not experiencing any additional problems since your release, is that correct?"

"That's right."

"And Mr. Kim Seokjin has been doing fairly well too, I take it?"

You nodded. "He should be released tomorrow."

"I'm glad to hear it. Now, I believe we can--"

"Hold on," Yoongi interrupted. "I'd like to hear more about your client before we go any further."

"I'm afraid that my client wishes to remain anonymous due to personal reasons."

"Really? They already admitted their guilt if they're agreeing to a settlement. And yet, they lawyered up before the police report was even finished. I personally find that a bit strange, don't you?"
