I am on a different page of my life,
But on the same book as you,
Never destined to be together,
We met forever,

Life went on,
I met you,
And
You met me.

We went on a walk,
On a road called life,
I reached the end,
But you,
You still have to live.

Now I am a part of your memories,
You cry seeing my image
That's imprinted on your mind
Every night.

Life gave you sorrows,
Took you loved one away,
But time wasn't able to heel that,
Wounds are still fresh,
After years of pain,
No cure for that.

Life went on but you,
You stayed back,
For a dead man alive?

You kept me alive in your memories,
With every low hit,
You remember me.

That's why Shakespeare called time sluttish,
I broke the stone of your heart
Just to make it harder
Just like a
Diamond.

Life will go on and on,
But in the road of life we died the same time.

~ from a heart of a dead lover
