"The library smelled of old books and teenage sweat. Oh what a lovely smell." Lane thought to herself while walking through the library doors. At last the whole class got into the library and Mr. Salman dismissed everyone to start their work.
Lanes eyes danced through the crowd before landing on a familiar boy. Peters eyes almost immediately met Lanes glance as he found himself waving his hand at her. It was a friendly gesture but it sure did draw a lot of attention. And Lane has had enough attention for the day.
"Hey!" Lane smiled while looking up at Peter's face.
Peter wasn't a tall guy, but Lane was a tiny little person so she had to crane her neck to look into his eyes. Lane never really noticed the height difference before. But it was cute.
Lane took a deep breath and tried to refocus on what was actually going on rather than how tiny she was.
"Hi!" Peter responded back showing lots of teeth. Until his eyes started to drop to my leg.
"Ugh. Can people really not get enough of it!" Lane thought.
He quickly tuned his face to meet Lanes and said, "Well we better get working on that project am I right?"
