Luke

I was cursing the line in front of me. I watched as people were looking for their bags so they could get the hell out of here. I wanted to get the hell out of here. Corey stood by me as we were both back in Charleston. We were at the greyhound bus station coming from Tennessee. We had to take multiple transportations to get back. We had to make sure no one could trace our trail back to Sang and the kids.

It fucking sucked to leave them from now. But we couldn't have the team come looking for us. I prayed to God everyday in thanking Phil for covering for us. I'm sure in the future he'll be mention in the bible, because it needed to be updated.

Sang got us a secret boat ride to Alaska, from there we took a private plane through Canada, worked our way to Tennessee on train and a bus back home. Well it isn't home anymore. I found me and Corey small sized duffle bags that Cora bought us because that's what your kids do. We'll our does.

We couldn't bring anything back with us, I didn't want the chance in the other finding out about them. I was more than ready for the punishment we were going to receive at the words of Mr. B's wrath.

Corey called a cab and it took us back to the house I wish never to return too. But it still held out family, our brothers in it, so I had to comply. All the cars were here and we heard laughing coming from inside.

"Ready?" Corey asked, and I was about to say the same thing.

"Nope" pooping the p. I wish I was in a different dimension where everything was back to perfect. Sang inside this house instead of Kayli. Kayli. How my stomach churns at the name. How the fuck do we get through this?

We walked up to the front door and knocked, I checked the knob and it was unlocked. I know this was still out house too but it didn't feel like it anymore. It wasn't anymore, not to me. My home was back in Washington, with my girlfriend, with our kids.

Corey was right behind me when we headed toward the commotion in the living room. Everyone was there watching a movie, Step Brothers to be exact. I looked around the group and felt nothing. There was no joy or happiness, it just felt like....I don't know what it's called.

Corey cleared his throat, "How's the movie?"

Everyone looked towards us, some relieved and some angry. I have them a head nod, not having anything to say.

"Luke! Corey! Your back!" Kayli cheered and ran up to us giving us a hug. She tried to hold onto my arm but I tugged it away from her, not liking the feeling. I felt glares on me. I looked around the room until my eyes connected with Mr. B's steel grey ones that were behind his black glasses.

"How many hours are you giving? I'd like to get started on it now to get it over with." My face blank and voice dead. I really didn't want to be here.

He raised a brow at my words, probably not what he was expecting. I learned a few things from Starr and LaLa. Seeing my brothers just made me think about them. I sighed mentally, wanting to beat the shit out of them. Especially Mr. Owen Blackbourne himself. This was his fault, he took charge and wasn't a real team lead back then. It was his fucking fault that lost us over 7 years. I felt nothing but hate towards this man. But I couldn't show it.

I saw Dr. Green's brows furrow beside him. He'll have as much hate for his best friend too if he ever finds out.

"Welcome back Mr. Taylor Sr, Mr. Henshaw Jr. Why don't you join us, we'll discuss some things afterwards." His voice held the same emotion as mine. Kayli looked hopeful at us, but fuck that shit.
There's only woman I want.
