Enlistment

It's been 2 months since I moved in with Bucky. I haven't seen any of my family in 2 months. I want to see Mary but I don't want to run into my father. It's been nice the last two months. Bucky enlisted and he's leaving tomorrow. I enlisted and I will be training with Peggy Carter starting Monday morning.

Steve has been trying to enlist for a while now. Steve has spirit so who cares if he has every sickness there is, he wants to fight. I told Bucky that but Bucky is so protective over Steve so he doesn't like Steve doing that. I'm now an expert at using a gun because of Bucky. Bucky got the title of Sergeant so I'm very proud of him.

"Sergeant James Barnes." I say coming into the room. Bucky is fixing up his uniform

"Hopefully you will be Agent Bridgington and maybe soon Agent Barnes." Bucky says

"Come on we gotta go get Steve and go to the Stark Expo." I say dragging him out of the room

"Did you find a way to contact your sister?" Bucky asks

"I sent her a letter and I told her to meet us there." I say

"Ok let's go then." Bucky takes my hand and we're going to get Steve.

We find Steve getting beat up in an alleyway again.

"Pick on someone your own size!" Bucky says kicking the guy away.

"I had that you know." Steve says

"Looked like it." I say helping him up.

"Sometimes I think you like getting punched." Bucky says. I pick up Steve's enlistment form

"How many times is this." I say

"Oh, you're from Paramus now? You knows it's illegal to lie on the enlistment form." Bucky says

"Seriously, Jersey?" I say. Steve looks up at Bucky

"You get your orders?" Steve says

"The 107th. Sergeant James Barnes, shipping out for England first thing tomorrow." Bucky says

"You?" Steve says

"I told you remember. Monday morning is when I start to train. I promise to put in a great word about you to Peggy Carter." I say

"I should be going." Steve says. Bucky grabs Steve and I.

"It's my last night! I got to get you cleaned up." Bucky says to Steve

"Why? Where are we going?" Steve asks

"The future." I say showing him the paper.

"I'm gonna be third wheeling again?" Steve says

"No. I got my sister to come." I say

"Isn't she 16?" Steve says

"19. Just hang out with her she's cool." I say

"I don't see what the problem is. You're about to be the last eligible man in New York. You know there's three and a half million women here?" Bucky says

"I'd settle for just one." Steve says

"He's only 25 give him some time." I say to Bucky

"Good thing you took care of that." Bucky says pointing to my sister. I wave at her and she comes over

"What's you tell her about me?" Steve says to me

"Only the good stuff." I say

"Now I see how hard it is to sneak out. You never had to deal with that." Mary says
