"I know you're there y/n. Stop hiding."
Damn! He always knows when I was here, even when I'm invisible. I reappeared in my dress that I am going to wear tonight.
"How do you do that? Anyway I just wanted to see what was taking so long, we have to leave soon." He was standing in front of the mirror putting on his fancy shirt and then a second later he was behind me, fully dressed with his hands around my waist.
"I swear one day you will give me a heart attack Dan" he laughed and nuzzled into my hair. I could hear the old grandfather clock in the corner of the room ticking away, telling me we needed to already be inside a cab.
"We need to leave right this moment!" All of a sudden there was silence, not even the loud clock in the corner. I look over and see the pendulum suspended in the air, not moving.
"And we will. But who says we can't make this moment last forever?"
"Yeah but you can't stop time whenever you want. Isn't that like, screwing with the very fabric of space and time?"
"No...?" He looks at me, innocence shining out of his deep brown eyes.
"Daniel James Howell start time again right now or I swear to god." He smiles and kisses the top of my head. I am reassured by the sound of the ticking clock in the corner of the room.
"You know I love you, right? When you aren't messing with the laws of time and stuff."
"Yeah I know. And you know I love you too? When you don't hide your beautiful face from me." He lifted my chin with his finger and kissed me lovingly.
"Okay seriously though we need to leave, like two minutes ago!"
